Administration uses 3rd party BankMobile for refunds when you drop classes (explained later). Then when you go to register for another class the system automatically drops all of your active classes because you have an active refund with no notices that your classes get dropped. When you contact the administration they brush you off and make you feel like you are a burden to them and are an annoyance. Going in person reinforces this as you get audible sighs and rolled eyes for basic requests such as reviewing your current transcript. 'Online' is not entirely online either, as some professors will state they are a fully online class when registering but require you to come and take tests in-person at verified testing centers on specific days with no date leniency. I work a full time job and could not make the testing dates, so I had to drop the class, which caused the payment issues above. No one from administration seems to want to help me or even care about the problem. Will be looking at other colleges to finish my degree since this administration is so difficult to work with.
Attended the Lifelong Learning and Career Development's open house for homeschool classes. All I can say is WOW! They offer all kinds of STEM activities for kids including coding, robotics, circuitry, VR, and even medical and veterinarian related courses through their new partnership with the Little Medical School. It was so much fun that I wished I were a kid again. I can't wait to see what new classes come down the pipeline next.
These receptionists (Jocelyn) want to ask you your whole business when wanting to speak to a counselor / advisor. (And I wont tell her my business because she works with me. Gossipy. Just like she sat there gossiping after I walk away and am behind the both of them, listening.) Bookstore staff Chris and Stephen….. SMH. Registrars office argued about taking me off academic probation when I applied this time around. Asked to speak to someone else and miraculously it was fixed. Then when I needed to change my major because they labeled me : AA but Nursing. And supposedly my programs lead was the lady from the Paralegal program ! Completely screwed up and someone’s not paying attention. Then I go into the the registrars office and they sit you at a computer as if I hadn’t already been all over the site and have you fill out the change major form on the computer and they still don’t do it. I come back a week later and they blame the man at the Venice location. Go in and sit there because this email phone call crap with Hannah in registar ? Don’t do it. She is silly as hell on other peoples time and dime.
Getting into this school as a American citizen who finished medical school in Europe, and I gave them all the documents to prove that this will be in state, and I have been in the United States longer than two years. They will try to do everything to make sure that you have to pay us it out state. This is all they care about. Impossible to get a hold of the Coaches.
I’ve gone here for two years, and the people in their student services and financial aid offices have to be the most miserable people on the planet. They will put you on hold endlessly and then have an attitude when you ask a question that is quite literally their job to answer. Unprofessional and unhelpful.
This is a great college, the best I’ve ever attended. I’m so sad that I chose to move on to a “real university “ rather than pursing my bachelors right here. I’m currently attending one of the largest public universities in Florida and it’s nowhere near as good as SCF Bradenton. My public university offers no sense of individuality, it’s a cookie cutter curriculum with Teaching Assistants instructing upper division courses while earning their doctorate. We are not their full time job, as students were simply another assignment, a box to check on their way to graduation. Every professor I had at SCF Bradenton was experienced and well versed within their respective fields. The students attending their courses are and always will be their full time job, as we should be. Everybody here wants to see you succeed, you’re treated as an individual rather than a number listed beside 50,000 others. For anyone looking to attend SCF Bradenton, I highly recommend you do so. For those already in attendance, do not give in to external pressure from family/peers telling you to get an AA and move onto a “university”. Stay here, get your bachelors with a high quality education and individualized experienced. Nobody wants to be another number, take it from me.
I spoke with a Destiny at the call center at SCF. This young woman was polite , courteous and professional. She truly caredto get my son's Florida residence and bill fixed. She went over and above to help. Kudos Kudos!!!! Can't say enough!! THANK YOU DESTINY!!
Destiny from the call center didn’t seem like she knows what she was doing. Had an attitude and not helpful, not sure why she’s answering their phones lol. Is seriously the only way to speak to someone is to have an answering service call you back? Well, they never called. You must loose a lot business here, sad….
The only place you want b at for ur CDL. Steve and Lamar are d best trainers. Fleet Force d 👌 👍 …
I got my associates degree here and loved it! I met amazing people and had great science professors especially biology related courses. Small classes were very helpful and lab courses were well put together. Also much cheaper than starting out at a university. Highly recommend!
