THEY DON’T DESERVE THE ONE STAR BUT I GUESS TO GET THE WORD OUT HERE YOU GO WEBBER YOUR 1 STAR REVIEW. I KNOW I WONT BE THE LAST OF SAPC/SAU ALUMNI PAST AND PRESENT TO SPEAK OUT! Please do your research. They merged with my old college years ago and they have given students professors 10 days to finish everything and vacate. No finals no forewarning just pack up and leave. Some of these professors have been here longer than 30 years. Their entire life is in their office. Displacing people and horses as this college had an equestrian center. Look into ST ANDREWS UNIVERSITY, and you will see the true colors of Webber International and how unethical they have been. Along with I’ve seen past and current professors whom have not received all of their pay, Webber is claiming when things are sold the teachers will be paid back then. No one contacted alumni to ask for help I cannot think of the last time I received a mailing from SAU. Webber could have conducted themselves in a better manor yet they chose to conduct themselves in a very disheartening way RUN DONT WALK. Ask them why and how they could just throw a college in the trash without trying harder and fighting for our campus like they do their own? Ask them how they just displace students faculty administrators ect oh cannot forget horses in 10 DAYS without a care of what happens. Ask them to explain themselves!

I don't often leave negative reviews. But, Today I give Webber International University 0* (If that were possible on google). WIU acquired my Alma Mater in 2011. St. Andrews University. I am fully aware that for a while the school has been struggling, as most small liberal arts universities have. However, I have to say that I am beyond disappointed and disgusted at how the powers that be have handled the closing of SAU lately. Recently WIU made a decision to close a branch of its school, SAU, with 10 days notice. 10 days. yes, yes, you read that correctly. SAU has over 60 years of history in the area, Scottish Heritage history, an entire equine facility, faculty and staff, and decades worth of history. This bomb of news was dropped on the entirety of the school and alumni with less than 10 days to process. I understand if a school is struggling financially that eventually it needs to be shut down. If that were the case, no matter how much i love my Alma Mater I understand it would need to close. But who in their right mind said "10 days is all they need close it" and thought it was a good idea? If in fact the school was struggling this bad were there not signs months ago that it would need to close down? Could there not have been some decency to let students, faculty, and staff know ahead of time? Whomever made the decision to shut down the school is not only cruel and heartless, but has nothing on their minds but themselves. To disregard an entire group of people in such a short manner is beyond disrespectful. I once was thankful for WIU for saving my college back in 2011... However, now I am disgusted at how they've chosen to handle this situation. I would not recommend attending this college, or supporting them in anyway.

Webber and its president has a total lack of empathy to close a campus and let everyone know via a social media post without any real explanation. You don’t deserve even one star for how poorly this was handled. Do your research, Webber lost more than $1.1 million according to the 2023 tax filing. Keep looking for a more stable college with a president that actually cares about people.

St. Andrews University — a branch of Webber International University — will permanently close its Laurinburg campus after the Spring 2025 semester, with operations ending May 5, 2025. Faculty and staff were given just 10 days to wrap up finals, advise students, pack classrooms, and find new jobs — many facing sudden relocation. Students entered into long-term agreements with Webber, trusting them with their education. This betrayal isn’t just bad business — it’s unacceptable.

Attended a football game. Nice field, easy access, good field views from the bleachers

I have read all the negative reviews. So find an apartment. Overall, my son has had a great experience at Webber. Staff is nice, students nice, coaches are great! He played baseball! Can’t beat being on a phenomenal team!! Go Warriors!! He transferred from a Division I school with worse conditions, so take all the other reviews with a grain of salt!! We loved it here!!!

Do not get your hopes up if your child gets an offer for a “scholarship” to this institution. They will gaslight your child and give them false hope. The tuition is some of the highest I’ve seen and honestly, overrated. Go to a local state college and save your money. If I could give zero stars I would.

Do not waste your money on this school. The classrooms are dingy and outdated. It is a terrible learning environment. Luckily, I never lived on campus because the dorms are a nightmare. You never knew if the ceiling is going to fall down or maybe your dorm room may start flooding. My teammates bathroom was filled with mold because there is no ventilation. The school has maybe 3 great teachers and the others are terrible. Ha, the staff is a joke. No experience in the job field.. And you got a job there! Not sure what I was thinking when I transferred to Webber.

I graduated in 1993. Yes, it’s located in a small town in the middle of nowhere, but it’s a 50 minute drive from Orlando, 1 hr+ from Tampa, Clearwater etc, and 1 hr from Vero beach on the East coast. The classes were small, thus personal attention from the teachers. The campus was old fashioned yet pretty. The Crooked lake gave it a special touch. It was considered Florida’s best in Business.

Webber is not a normal school. You only have class 1-2 days each week. The rest of the classes are online so you actually don't have to live on campus - because most of the work is online. They don't tell you this though until your parents have dropped you off. Most people end up transferring because the closest place to do anything fun is an hour away, the campus is run down and boring, and the staff are all backwoods people who can't get jobs at other schools. Webber is a waste of money. You are better off going to a community college and then transferring after two years. You will be happier and so will your parent's bank accounts.
