I would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Crawford in the financial aid office. He was extremely helpful in addressing my concerns and guided me toward scholarships and grants to support my education. His kindness and patience made a difficult situation much easier, and with his assistance I was able to secure my classes for this quarter and prepare for future ones. I also want to sincerely thank Ms. Faith at the front desk, who went above and beyond by making a call on my behalf to ensure I got registered for this quarter’s classes. Both of them provided excellent support, and I truly appreciate their dedication and care.
Today, I had the opportunity to visit the Financial Aid Office on campus to seek clarification and assistance regarding my student account. From the moment I arrived, I was feeling overwhelmed and anxious about my financial situation. However, I was fortunate to be assisted by Mr. Anthony Crawford, and I can sincerely say that my experience with him was nothing short of exceptional. Mr. Crawford exhibited the highest level of professionalism, patience, and compassion throughout our interaction. He took the time to carefully listen to my concerns, thoroughly review my account, and explain everything in a way that was both clear and reassuring. His calm demeanor and knowledgeable guidance immediately put me at ease, and for the first time in a while, I felt hopeful and supported in resolving the issues I was facing. It is rare to encounter someone who not only does their job effectively but also goes above and beyond to make a meaningful impact on a student’s well-being. Mr. Crawford demonstrated a genuine commitment to helping me find a solution, and I am incredibly grateful for the time and care he invested in my situation. I truly believe that Mr. Crawford is an invaluable asset to the South College Financial Aid Office and to the institution as a whole. His dedication to student success and his ability to provide both professional and empathetic support made a significant difference in my day—and in my academic journey. I am thankful that he is in the position that he is, and I left the office feeling not only relieved but truly blessed. Thank you, Mr. Crawford, for your kindness, your expertise, and your willingness to help.
I recently made the difficult decision to withdraw from South College’s Atlanta campus, and I want to be transparent about why. From the very beginning, my experience felt rushed and disorganized. I enrolled in May and didn’t receive my class schedule—or even find out who my advisor was—until the day before classes began. My transcripts had already been submitted, but processing took so long that I entered the program completely unprepared. If I had been able to meet with my advisor earlier, I would’ve had a better understanding of my academic path and the options available to me. When I finally got the chance to speak with my advisor, I learned that the second half of the required courses I needed wouldn’t even be available for another year. The only alternative was to take them at an external college, which would cost me an additional $500—on top of what I had already paid to enroll. This was beyond frustrating, especially considering I had just left a previous school that shut down my program two months before graduation. I shared that experience with my admissions rep from the start, yet I still found myself in another unstable and unsupported situation. What made it worse was the lack of empathy when I reached out to my advisor to discuss withdrawing. Instead of guidance or a conversation, I got this: “I completely understand, I am sorry that things are so stressful and hope everything works out. You should have received an email with how to withdrawal if not log into your canvas into your student portal and click the forms tab to fill out the withdrawal form.” No follow-up. No options. No real care. This entire experience confirmed that South College Atlanta is more focused on enrollment than student success. Students deserve more than rushed admissions, broken communication, and dismissive support. We deserve transparency, real advising, and institutions that prioritize our goals—not just our tuition. I hope this campus takes serious steps toward improving how they support students, especially those trying to recover from past educational setbacks.
My finical aid advisor Anthony Crawford is awesome! I’m so blessed to have him as an advisor and mentor. He answers all my questions and always looks out for me. So professional and respectful. I am so thankful for all that he does! He makes my experience worth it!
I’m currently in my first quarter of the ASN Cohort and needed some financial guidance today. I’ve been feeling really overwhelmed and stressed about how I’d move forward in my educational journey. I didn’t have time to schedule a meeting, and my original advisor wasn’t in the office. I ended up meeting with Terri Williams last minute, and I have to say—I left her office with a complete 180 in my mindset. She broke everything down in a way that was easy to understand and walked me through every question and concern I had with so much patience and care. I highly recommend working with her. After today, I truly feel like I’m going to finish strong.
I’m currently in the very rigorous BSN program, and as any student in this field knows, the academic demands are incredibly high and often overwhelming. One of the things that made a huge difference in my experience was how seamless the registration and financial aid process was — and that’s all thanks to Mr. Alexander Lewis! From the very beginning, Mr. Lewis demonstrated an incredible amount of patience, professionalism, and genuine care for students. He took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly, never making me feel rushed or like a burden. His calm and reassuring presence helped ease a lot of the stress I was feeling, and he truly made me feel supported through every step of the process. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated to helping students succeed, especially in areas that can be complex and stressful like financial aid. I’m incredibly grateful for Mr. Lewis’s help and would like to recognize him for going above and beyond in his role. His support made a real impact on my journey, and I can’t thank him enough!

From the very first day I started at South College Atlanta, Terri Williams in the Financial Aid Office has been an absolute blessing. She guided me through every step of the financial aid process with kindness, patience, and unmatched professionalism. Terri has always been available to answer my questions—no matter how small—and she takes the time to make sure I fully understand everything. Every time I visit her, I leave feeling confident, informed, and truly cared for. Her warm and welcoming spirit makes such a difference during stressful times. South College is incredibly lucky to have someone like Terri. She is hands-down the best financial aid representative I’ve ever encountered. She made my LPN to ASN dream come true! If you’re a student or considering enrollment, ask for Terri—she’s phenomenal!
I was initially very excited to attend South College because of the ASN program and all the opportunities it seemed to offer. Unfortunately, my experience has been truly disappointing due to the lack of communication across several departments. Reaching someone directly, including my assigned advisor, has been extremely difficult. It feels like I constantly have to call and chase down information that should be provided to me proactively as a student. The lack of consistency and support has made what should be a positive educational journey unnecessarily frustrating.
Mauricia Williams was very friendly and easy to talk to. She helped me understand financial aid process easily. She was patient with my questions and even stayed late with me to explain more because i had a lot of questions. She is funny and very outgoing. If i could recommend i would recommend her.
