Spelman college provided me with many fond memories, even as I attended Morehouse! I actually took a few classes there -- the professors are very dedicated to teaching and your education. As a former student of their neighboring school, I can also say they throw some pretty awesome events!
Spelman is just as amazing as the first time I entered her gates, decades ago. It's a magical place.... A lot of Black girl magic is bred and molded there. Thank you for your contribution to society!
Doordash drop off are so easy the students meet at gate main location pretty much
Great school and nice theatre to visit.
I took my daughter here for their Junior Preview day and it was an amazingly beautiful campus. The admissions department was incredibly helpful with conveying what this college stands for and what they are committed to instilling in the women who graduate from here. I would be honored to have my daughter be a part of such an incredible institution!
Ask any student who wasn't rich walking on that campus what they had to do, what they had to go through, what they had to tell people about themselves and to whom, just to go there and stay there. To have a regular social life. To get good grades and graduate on time. Ask them how and where they are now? Has this school helped them any? Were they part of the perpetual 40% (quoted 2019, BEFORE the pandemic) of Spelman alum who graduate without any prospects? (This number EXCLUDES the grads who *planned* on going to Spelman only to get an MRS degree. This EXCLUDES students who went into higher education. This number EXCLUDES students who didn't want a job but instead started their own business post-graduation. 40% of students graduate either without a job or without any of the above, because this school caters to legacies and nepo babies. I'm happy for those students, but this school is doing a severe disservice to everyone else.)
Sister moved into her dorm today, campus staff was great directing us around with all the caos of students returning.
Beautiful campus that is clean with contemporary buildings.
Wonderful place for smart Black girls to become powerful Black women. Spelman has a history of choosing top candidates for admission; I’m not sure of the current acceptance rate, but it’s an elite institution. Of course Spelman is a college, but its’ niche goes beyond high-level academics. The experience at Spelman is steeped in excellence, pride, and sisterhood. Any woman who graduates has the tools to make a profound impact in her community.
I currently attend Spelman and I absolutely love it here. Amazing institution. I wouldn't trade my position as a Spelman woman for anything in the world. If my daughter doesn't want to attend Spelman in the future she's not going any where else. Lol.
