Great Venue for Basketball Tournaments This is a solid spot for basketball tournaments. Be sure to pack plenty of food—especially protein-rich snacks—since concessions can be hit or miss. The venue can get quite warm during the spring and summer months, so dress accordingly. Thankfully, the foyer is air-conditioned if you need a quick break to cool down. Bathrooms are decent and maintained as well as can be expected given the steady flow of event attendees.
Not surprised it's closing. I received my bachelors degree in accounting in 2008. I applied and applied and applied and applied to places once I graduated. I was NEVER able to get a job. I ended up becoming a stay at home mom for a few years then started a photography business. I had to move states and still can't get a job with the degree I received from this worthless school. I'm glad it's closing. If you don't help the people you service then you shouldn't be in business! TERRIBLE COLLEGE!
It's Graduation time, I highly recommend all future graduates get your cap and gown at the collage book store don't waist your time ordering on line, read reviews first Oak hall! It was a great 5 years the staff is helpful, many times, it's a family oriented school I seen great bonds developed, I think my son will take many good things from here the professor's have been there for assistance, growth and career development. They have a great program for freshman first year, to help them along the new stage in life,The dorms are a bit on the older side but great experience the first couple years, with options to move up or out local over the years. I was very excited for the soccer years but that turned out to be a bit disappointing, were a huge soccer/family and fans, never the less we supported our team the whole way through! Go Saints!! Thank you for the past five years and memories made.
I was unable to go to Siena, as I took up nursing in the 70's, but I fondly remember visiting my two sisters and best friend over the years they were there. I am sad it has to close.
Love the school! My child attends here and it is small town vibe, excellent education and strong it all sports
Thanks Siena for being part of the problem - by prioritizing profit over high quality educators. By leaning into the “ra ra” athletic money heist like so many university’s in the US you are saying loud and clear as an institution that education does not matter. You my have (literally) bought the university a decade or less of open doors but at the end of the day you’re making some massive mistakes. I am ashamed to have a degree from a university that tosses (already underpaid) top notch educators to the curb. The Siena name is tarnished forever after hearing this despicable news. The faculty was everything at Siena. They literally saved my life. The art department deserves better than this.
I am a 2013 graduate of SHU and currently work as a doctor of physical therapy in Cincinnati, Ohio. My experience at Siena couldn't have been any better. The institution, faculty and staff take a genuine interest in you as an individual and not just another number that brings in tuition dollars for the university. I have early memories from my time at Siena interacting with staff in leadership e.g. Sister Peg and Sister Sharon and I immediately felt welcome and part of the SHU family. Everywhere you look at this university the people are incredible. That's the difference at SHU -- the people. It's a small school but you truly feel like part of the family during your time there and after. I have stayed involved with the university post graduation having served as a member of the alumni board since 2018 and as president from 2019-2021. The connections at SHU last a lifetime. On the academic side of things, the course work prepared me to attend professional school for my doctorate of physical therapy. I felt the coursework at SHU did a great job laying the foundation for what to expect in graduate school. There are plenty of on campus activities, sports, theatre and extracurricular events. It's hard not to get involved! Siena Heights University will always hold a special place in my heart.
Horrible school that likes to cover up mistreating students and professors. Not a good place to go, an extreme waste of money. AVOID at all costs. The school is very cliquely they care so much about the arts and their athletes act all high and mighty but in truth most never go anywhere after college.
Siena is a very student focused college. I had a great experience with my Undergrad degree and so I decided to get my Graduate degree there as well. I took classes at the Jackson College campus for my Undergrad and now I attend the University Center at LCC for my Graduate.
This is one of the best universities in the USA for international students. SHU admission Councillors are willing to help anyone regardless of your nationality and color.
