Old feel to it, but the university feels homey in an undescribable way. The worn brick buildings tell a story of dedication, learning, and persistence. The indoor basketball courts are amazing. And the student union has lots of wolf apparel showcasing school spirit. It is a little hard to navigate at first since they renovated the old campuses but overall was a great place to visit and take a look around. Go wolves! :)

As a former PhD student in Civil Engineering, it was such a nostalgic feeling to return to the main campus. So many nice memories here. I spent over 6 years at State (PhD and a few months of Post-Doc), and had so much fun. Both the staff and fellow students were so nice and helpful. My only disappointment (but a big one) was that there was no graduation ceremony for the year 2020 due to Covid. I have always felt incredibly lucky to be on Main Campus although I was in an engineering stream, so it was sad to see Mann Hall being demolished. Howling cow ice-cream tasted yum as usual. I will definitely recommend this university to anyone - one of the best in the country imo.

Admissions from my personal experience turned out to be greatly misleading, as I wasn't able to get some very important details until AFTER paying them the $300 dollar admissions deposit that they insist is not refundable (And spending the money to send my transcript from other colleges). I really shouldn't need to already be accepted and pay into the school to find out the program I applied for does not in fact offer online options despite finding on your website that it DOES. That is scam-like and extortionate. Why does it cost three HUNDRED dollars to say yes to an acceptance letter? Not to mention the tool on the site lied about what credits would transfer over, which also colored my opinion on coming here. Most of the reviews here seem to be nostalgic graduates whom could afford the insane price to be here, so good for them. I wish I was so privileged to enjoy being taken advantage of as much as they have.

My daughter just started going there. It's a beautiful campus. Can't wait to get to do more activities and family days.

Beautiful school. Said tour was full just show up. Arrived had no idea where to go. People on campus had no idea. No way tour full lucky if 30 people. 5 tour guides take all 30 instead of breaking up group. Had to pay $2 an hour to park. School does not give any vouchers. Toured many school this is the worst tour we took.

Went to my sons graduation ceremony, we have spent thousands at NCSU. So the staff a the graduation took my camera stick, it was a unipod with a holder for camera(my phone that day, samsung ultra23, only a $3000 dollar professional camera might be better), the staff swore it was a selfie stick, I tried to explain, maybe they are too stupid to know the difference, who knows. Either way they took it before I could or was using it, and did not give it back, they stole it from my angle, I could have left the building, but I would have missed his graduation or not been in a good spot for filming or taking shots. I wasn't doing anything but carrying it in it's case with strap. I'm too old to care about a selfie stick, not sure what I would do with one. It cost me 3 hours of my life and $150 to replace , I had recording to do 2 days later for another of my kids. I did get video and pictures, they could have been better, it's why I have my stick, everything is better with it, professional quality. If you can't film or use camera equipment at graduation ceremonies, it's easy to say that up front, I did ask and look before I got there. I've had my stick for years, couldn't find one like it, did find one which should function. A crappy thing to do to a parent who has spent thousands at this school, should never never ever happen, no matter what.

Friendly for the students and their families, great facilities and resources. The level of education is high and the location is perfect-surrounded by a lot of restaurants and supermarkets. Rustic design of buildings but always well organized and reserved.
