Not sure there's anything NOT to like about UNCW. Beautiful grounds, knowledgeable and passionate faculty, right near the beach, and endless other things to do on and off campus. I came to visit friends here while attending another out of state university during my freshman year, and promptly made the decision to transfer. Graduated a few years later, and I couldn't be happier with that decision.
Very charming campus, nice size, good quality teaching with good class sizes, great research in marine bio. That said, I can't speak to the undergrad, on-campus student life side. Also, with so many gorgeous beaches around, etc., I don't know how I would have gotten any studying done if I went here as an undergrad!
Plenty of walking paths, various places to park and a good bit of green areas to sit down and relax. Located minutes from Wrightsville beach and close to downtown Wilmington.
UNCW hosts amazing events for the arts: cinema, dance, concerts, choral events, jazz, even opera and more!! Parking is available, the staff is professional and kind. It is truly a gem to be enjoyed by many, give it a try!! Volunteer opportunities are available!!
I love this school. It has a small college feel with a large, spacious campus.
I completed an MA program in 2023 and the experience was disappointing and underwhelming ): I wish I had picked a different school.
i went here for a youth camp over the summer and the campus was beautiful. i didnt get to meet the actual professors but the buildings are nice. the only reason they dont get 5 stars from me is because the food at the shore is absolutely disgusting. many of those who attended had gotten food poised and couldnt get up for several minutes. still great. 8/10 would recommend. Bye!
My daughter, her boyfriend, and I went to UNCW for a campus tour. We were highly impressed by our guide (Liv), the campus itself, and all the resources available to students and alumni. This is my daughter's top choice for college.
My daughter graduated here in 2020.... Virtual Graduation due to Covid19. But finally visited UNCW and what a beautiful structure and grounds..
We took a tour to see if this would be a good fit for our daughter, as a transfer student. It's a beautiful campus. Plenty of green space, a lot of parking, beautiful gardens, and lots of classes to choose from. It is, however, NOT a very disabled friendly campus, with uneven sidewalks, skinny doorways, and several automatic doorways not working. I also found out that while there are student on campus during the summer session, they dont have many, if any, dining options.
Not just for college students! UNCW offers great camps and programs for children as well.
Clean and friendly campus to tour. Very welcoming staff as well.
Lovely campus. Quality programs. I'd give it a 5 except they were beating my team tonight. 😔 …
The professors in the online accelerated MBA program are top notch, accommodating and experts in their respective fields. The administrative staff however…… the administrative staff will ruin your academic experience. The amount of “human …
Beautiful campus and a great memorable experience!!!
Honestly I believed that this college was awesome until the very end. I was tricked into believing that if I tried my best it would be worth something and would get recognized for my hard work. I finished my degree with a 3.75 GPA but was …
Seemingly good school. I’ve been to a few universities before and this one definitely holds the cake when it comes to excellent faculty. I’m extremely impressed by the instructors and their wealth of knowledge of material and actual …
I'm a sophomore here and so far its been a decent experience. While the campus is very pretty and the buildings are clean, it also floods pretty badly. The teachers have all been friendly so far, but you have to buy unnecessary books and …
Veterans Hall is a beautiful space and a great refuge for military veterans
If possible I would give zero stars to this school! My daughter is suffering bullying and I went to school to explain. The school did absolutely nothing!!! I hate to see my daughter crying saying how much she hate her school that she has no friends. She was a happy kid before enter this awful school!
