University of Akron-Wayne College

I live an hour away, it’s a long drive but, I am having a wonderful experience at Wayne Community College. The Professors that I have for my classes possess a Doctorate Degree and they are able to teach at my level of understanding. Not many doctorate Professors can do that. They make learning easy, they are very approachable, understanding and compassionate. They will work with you but, don’t take it for granted they are very stern! The advisors are wonderful because, they ensure you have the classes you need and don’t add “fillers”. I appreciate the staff in the library, and Smucker learning center, cafeteria, bookstore, even the IT Department. Just about everyone is easy to work with. This is my personal experience here at the College. If you’re thinking about returning to College from a long time away from school, like I did. This is the best place to start.

If you're looking for a small college experience with all of the benefits of a big university, Wayne College is the perfect choice! The campus is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The academics are top-notch, and I've never had a problem getting the classes I need. I would highly recommend Wayne College to anyone looking for a great college experience!

Wonderful, quiet campus. Excellent teachers and staff, who are very thorough with their work. The cost of education here is extremely affordable. My favorite things about this campus is the Student Union and the FREE 3D printing lab. If you're looking at going to Akron main, but live in Wayne County, I recommend you save some money and go here for a year or two, it is the perfect way to transition from High School to College.

One of the best options for a high school student to consider - CCP classes are available at no cost through many high schools, and post-secondary options are still out there. This college is directly connected to The University of Akron, one of the top schools for the sciences. Although there are those that put down the community college option, it is foolish to pay more when you can get the same high quality education that will provide you with a successful career pathway. Don't turn your nose at such an economically wise option. Employers certainly won't fault you for making a fiscally responsible decision. Instead, it just might get you hired.

Beautiful campus. Great for CCP students to start their general education classes and first year college students to get a great college experience.

Very nice regional campus with 2-year and some 4-year degree opportunities, and tied into the University of Akron. I teach there part time, so I might be a little biased!

The public maker space/3d lab is a great community resource.

I enjoyed going to school here. Reasonably priced and a decent learning curriculum
