A nice little community college, some of the buildings are somewhat outdated but TVCC has been working on both new buildings and bringing the old buildings to a more modern feel and look. The administration works well to help students and the teachers are wonderfull. Combine this with smaller class sizes, and you end up with a very nice instructor to student ratio of around 1 to 20 for in person classes, and around 1 per 30 to 40 for online classes. Instructors are great at making their availability clear and with clear communication within a reasonable time frame. TVCC has been working hard to bring their digital resources up to date. TVCC is a decent 2 year school.
My experience at this college has been amazing. From the programs they offer, to the staff, to the facilities, to the teachers. I had lost my job, and I was able to obtain grants and attend school here part time. The equine program is amazing. I never knew something like this even existed. I would of definitely packed up my life and found a way to attend this college sooner if I had known about it. I have to give a shout out to Carla Wheeler, who heads up the STEP program. She was so caring and resourceful in directing me to resources in the community till I was able to get my feet under me. Also Wade Black, who heads up most of the equine and livestock classes. I learned so much from him and the hands on teaching he does. He even helped me find employment after I was done. I never took any of Cami's classes (she also has a ton of equine classes), but all of my interactions with her were nothing but positive. I can't say enough good things about this place, from the barn manager Jeff, to the other students. What a blessing this place has been on my life.
Peaceful - beautiful place. Grounds are immaculate.

This is a great place to get started on a four year degree or (better option) to get an Associate degree or trade certification and start working. They have small classes and instructors that really do get to know you and challenge you to learn and grow. They keep you going and are great people to learn from.
Please was awesome! Band was great!
I went here to take the certification test for the pesticide applicator license. The staff in the testing center were all super friendly and helpful. The only thing that made it difficult was continuous noises coming from adjacent rooms.

Great place to get a restart in your education or just that fresh out of high-school college degree started. Office and service staff are eager to help students start or renew their path in school.
