Professors at SJU were great, but the overall experience was disappointing. The staff, especially the international students office, were unhelpful and unwelcoming. I wouldn’t recommend this university to international students or people of colour looking for a supportive and inclusive environment.

This campus is a nice walk through area to get some exercise. There is a large parking lot so plenty of spaces. It's landscaped nicely and has a few interesting statues. Across from the parking lot is the campus store with a nice selection of Hawk clothing for your seasonal needs. After your walk you might want to stop in for a faboulous cheesesteak at Larry's one of Philly's most famous steak places. Or if not a steak how about a latte or cappuccino at Starbucks next to the campus store. Not far from Overbrook Station on SEPTA's Malvern line and accessible by bus routes 1, 44, and 65.

Their Masters in Business program is overrated and indeed over-priced!!!! The professors (with the exception of a few) are third grade failures recruited because they either have an Italian or some other connection to the school. The school operates based on crony affections. Behind the Jesuit facade of brotherhood and equality lies the open secret of "my home boy/girl nepotism" and "if you're white everything you say is right." The office staff and student counselors seem half baked as they are reluctant to help and are only happy when you go there to pay the fees. Try an alternative, non-click kind of university if you are interested in a decent, impartial and helpful education.

Great university and very nice campus! Saint Joseph's University (SJU) is a private, coeducational Roman Catholic Jesuit university located in west Philadelphia. The university was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1851 as Saint Joseph's College. Saint Joseph's University educates over 9,200 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students each year through the Erivan K. Haub School of Business, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Program of Professional & Liberal Studies, and the Haub Degree Completion Program. The University offers over 60 undergraduate majors, 53 graduate programs, 28 study-abroad programs, 12 special-study options, a co-op program, a joint degree program with Thomas Jefferson University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. It has 17 centers and institutes, including the Kinney Center for Autism Education & Support and the Pedro Arrupe Center for Business Ethics. In the 2014 U.S. News and World Report rankings, in the Master's Universities (North) category, Saint Joseph's was ranked number 11. It is a pleasure to have excellent academic colleagues in the Food Marketing Department!

This school is the bomb dot com. One of the admissions officers, James, gave us a review of what they look for upcoming students, overview of the school, as well as costs. Yes, he answered any questions that we had. Hailey was out your guide for the campus tour and she was from VA just like us. She and my daughter connected during the tour and my daughter was able to ask her various questions during the tour as well as the other students. Be prepared to do a lot of walking on the campus tour, so dress comfortably and wear some comfortable shoes. We happened to tour on a day that the heat index was 121 degrees, but the campus kept us hydrated with cold, bottled water. Honestly, I thought I knew quite a bit about the school. Yet, I learned so much more. Don't count them out because they have a lot to offer for everyone. It's not too small and not too big. A great medium sized campus in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Don't forget to check out Hawk Hill. Most of all, remember that the Hawk never dies!!

This review is about the grounds and walkability of St. Joseph’s University, a Jesuit (Catholic)university. While the school is located in Philadelphia, PA, the setting is more suburban and bucolic. The buildings are stately and lovely modern collegiate Gothic architecture style. While there are a few hilly sections, the grounds are mostly flat and easy for walking, running, or passive exercise. Very pleasant ambiance.

I transferred here a couple semesters ago and it has been a nightmare ever since I sent the enrollment deposit. I would say a majority of non-teaching faculty are thoroughly incompetent, from financial aid to student counseling to many other departments. If you're transferring make sure you triple-check with multiple people that all your credits transfer over. It is a severely overpriced university as well. Go elsewhere.

Great campus, a special blend of old and new. My granddaughter is a Freshman and is doing rather well. Dorms R secure and although parking is tight at times, most of the time no problem. Food at venues I have used R very good 2 excellent.
