Academic campus set on the shores of Narragansett Bay, in a park like setting. University labs and offices, a public beach, a research vessel and pier, and several interesting public spaces to visit. Home of academic oceanography teaching and research in Rhode Island.

Nice little public beach with plenty of free parking spaces set amid the marine research institutes. Went for a 35min swim to the north. Also went with kids.
