Averett University

Awesome experience. I am very pleased, my daughter has chosen to attend here. The supportive attitude combined with the goal, of promoting students to be" All that they can be", really touched me. I feel safe, in leaving my child in their care.

Not enough classes offered in my major. AS Physical Education major, I tried to take fencing, but was denied three times, saying the class was closed out. As it turned out, it was open to other majors. Also, Averett treats it's alumni with disrespect. All Averett wants from it's Alumni is money. With God's help, maybe things will change.

I left Averett after my freshman year. Averett cruelly sued me for moving out of the dorms after a couple months during my freshman year. I left because of a drunken girl that was harassing me. Averett would not do anything about screaming drunk students. The RA looked the other way. I was in the aviation program and 19 about to fly a plane for my first solo flight. I desperately asked the drunk if she would please let me sleep. She cruelly in her drunken state made airplane crashing sounds outside my door all night. I could not live this way. I was there to actually LEARN. Averett allowed this to happen, took no responsibility actually suing me for room and board for the semester I couldn’t live in the dorm. Averett made me travel from Louisiana to Danville to settle on the court steps for $1500. This was 20 years ago so it was a fortune to me. Keep in mind, I did not eat a single meal or live at all in the dorm but had to pay for unused R and B while paying rent and for food off campus. It was a heinous and disgusting act and I only hope karma pays a visit. They didn’t know about social media back then and that I would have the ability to tell people what they did to me. I plan to blog until the cows come home.

I'm currently a senior in the BBA,GPS Program. I CAN SAY CHOOSING AVERETT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! It's terrible don't invest your time or money. Parents just look to your local community colleges the education is much better. The financial assistance isn't worth it. The professors create irrelevant curriculum, and act solely to serve themselves.

Went to awards ceremony for nephew. It was nice very spacious auditorium.

Great school. I got my bba here and am seriously thinking about going back fory mba. Great staff and programs.

Good meals the Cafe the health food and drink ( soda, milks,juices and tea also coffee ☕)

BA 82’, was the perfect school for me then; and just love what it’s blossomed into now.

Just wonderful great staff easy campus to figure out

Enjoyed my short time here. Love watching it's growth and expansion.
