The only place where they don’t have signs posted in their parking lot that enforces how they want you to park, but will have campus security come tell you how you should… If someone wants to combat park, it should be allowed if there’s no signs enforcing it or siting that there will be a fine if you do so.

The financial aid office at pierce college has no sense of communication with other departments and students. Dealing with financial aid office will be your worst experience at pierce college. People have no answers, very disorganized and don’t communicate. They seem to be completely separate from college and employees have no idea about how to get the job done. It is really frustrating to deal with them while they have no idea how to take care of the funds and also t he y are so slow in processing.

You can NEVER get a hold of anyone! You can only get an appointment if you take the day off and go into the campus in person. When you do get appointments, they call and cancel the appointment. Then, you have to repeat the process all over again! Also, their webpage sucks because you have to log into three different pages to access your canvas and a significant portion of the computer science classes are taught online using books you have to pay for but don’t get to keep. This school is a joke!

*Update: DO NOT trust the advisors! I ended up being short 2 classes to complete my AA, and Pierce College does not care. The leadership at Pierce College is severely lacking across the board. Academic advising is notably subpar. Many professors struggle with effective teaching and show little enthusiasm for their roles, which likely stems from weak institutional leadership. In one instance, a professor even manually lowered my final grade from a B+ to near failing at the end of the quarter. Due to ongoing mistreatment across several areas, I’ve contacted an attorney to explore my options. The college urgently needs a comprehensive overhaul from top to bottom.

I graduated with my associates in 2019 as a running start student and man was that year a BALL especially when “Aspire” was a program (I absolutely adored dawn <3) & there were different ethnic groups/clubs constantly walking around with high spirits proud & eager to achieve their goals. They were really good with connecting with the community whether it be hosting fun events ,clubs, activities, high schools, trips etc. The hallways used to be so FULL of life. Anyways…. I went back this past week to print some paper work and the atmosphere was completely dead like there was no life in the building & it completely broke my heart how Covid & inflation affected the way college life & atmosphere was before :/ the food isn’t even the same (I miss the cheesy bacon fries they used to serve in 2019) , the color in the building doesn’t even look the same. I’m hoping they bring the spirit back up because I loved this school when I went here I mean it was one of the top 5 community colleges in the nation at the time <3 (2019).

My experience as a former alumni was not satisfactory. While attending, I was assigned about 3-4 different academic advisors in within two years since many of them would resign from their positions. The issue with that was the lack of support and guidance I received as the new staff would be overwhelmed with students needing multiple documents and tasks to complete hence they were not properly taking care of students individual needs accordingly. One of many struggles and instances I encountered were finding an internship to complete for my degree which caused a great amount of stress in my life. Friends who were attending other colleges mentioned how their schools were on top of things and would often ask me, is your school not helping you this or that? Most of the time my answers were, no… Lastly, Towards the end before graduating, my last academic advisor who was also my professor managed to schedule me in for a couple of appointments to catch up on everything I needed and through teams video he would rush me off after only 5 minutes in and I would have to stop him and tell him I have more questions. I do plan on continuing my education however I have no interest of coming back to Pierce College.

Poorly organized, rude professors, hacked all summer, and couldn’t email anyone. Nobody answers the phone. They should be sued for their incompetence. Classroom environment violates free speech. The Digital Design Department is a mess, and they lack knowledge to support their students who have inquiries and questions. Don’t waste your time here folks. It’s all a facade. Advising here is a joke: nobody seems to be empowered with knowledge or infrastructure for successful advising. My advisers constantly changed and they were always confused. I find this institution to be classist, and doesn’t understand basic concepts of equity and inclusion.

I attended this college and they are always helpful with anything you need. No question goes unanswered. The professors are very good and really demonstrates that they are there to help the students succeed. I had a good experience with them.

I used to love this college until COVID hit. Now it's mostly dead. Don't go for the vet tech program here. They'll only accept "proficient" rankings from the teas test. Which ,btw, they won't even tell you. If you're not proficient find another vet tech school. Also, these guys had a security breach on 10/25/23 and now have unauthorized data of me and my brother who wasn't even registered in this college! It's a nice place, plenty of history, but I won't ever consider this college.

I am going to give Pierce College a fat booster. When I was on Active Duty, I did not like the people at the Stone Ed Center, who were representing Pierce College. They just lacked customer service. A few times, I had " luck" and one …
