PLU has a lovely campus and friendly faculty. Everyone was easy to work with.

Nice school & gym. Decent parking availability BUT why on earth do the parents need to PAY ( per spectator!) to watch their child's game!?! Just outrageous. And this is a "private church school" NOT COOL guys, Not Cool.

My Son & I scheduled a Tour of the campus. The Guide was informative, knowledgeable, pleasant, kind & gave a very detailed explanation of the overall atmosphere & academic breakdown, he spoke about everything that we didn’t have many questions. My take away was that “He said “ where ever you go make sure it feels right for you” & I could tell that both guides were very well rounded & enjoyed their experience & education. It’s a small University with 12:1 Ratio & My Son did like the Idea 💡 of a smaller setting. This is a very delicate decision & dwelling where you are seen & heard is very important. We really enjoyed the Tour & Staff! Was also given a Welcome Bag! & There are amazing Lego Flowers 💐 in the Welcome Center! They never need water!

I'm a PLU alum, attended there around 2013ish. The education itself was amazing, and exceeded that of some friends of mine who went to the bigger state schools. That all being said, I feel that PLU has suffered greatly because of its lack of post-graduation job resources (especially for STEM fields), its location in a very disorganized unincorporated neighborhood (no city resources available and very few "ground rules" laws, so people think they can do *anything* they want), and the damage done by former university president Dr. Thomas Krise in terms of personnel management and finances. I also think the music school and a couple of the liberal arts departments can come off as super snobby, which also just hurts things even more. Again, the education is there. And PLU still commits a ton of their endowment to giving undeserved people the opportunity to attend college in the first place. I know for certain that I would not have been financially able to go to college when I graduated high school, had it not been for PLU's generosity. But even then, they need to do better. The university, its faculty/staff, and its students have the potential to be some of the best on the west coast. But they all need to come together and make some serious changes going forward into the next 20 years.

I have no idea why people are complaining about not enough "inclusivity", it seems like PLU has gone above and beyond to add that to their headline repertoire. They even made it a major. I went here a while ago and graduated. It was a fine school with solid faculty in the STEM areas. Area is fair to poor at best. Not an ideal spot to spend your "fun" years. I believe PLU does more than enough for the community, a community which is probably undeserving of any service they provide to be honest. I will dock a star due to the fact they cut German, Classics and Nordic studies which are the founding essence of the school due to "budget cuts". In their place they created and let remain other questionable majors. While I am not regretful that I attended, I will not be donating or supporting the school due to changes in their philosophy since I graduated.

At PLU's library on the second floor there is an old bathroom with a narrow door. PLU is an old university that was built before Americans became so fat. A lot of today's obese PLU students can't get through that door so they have to use a bathroom on the first floor that got remodeled with wider modern doors. For some reason, they didn't remodel the second floor bathroom door in the library building. That door makes me think of Christ's advice that we must struggle to get in through the narrow door. Also, he said few are the ones who walk through the narrow gate and walk the cramped road that leads to salvation. Many are invited to the wedding feast but few are chosen. This university has a pretty good library for a religious private university of this size.

Far from inclusive. If you do not fit their mold of the majority student body, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Furthermore, they have the audacity to charge such a high tuition, have you sign a contract agreeing to a certain number of …

Classrooms are old and gross. Chairs will make your back absolutely hurt afterwards. my time at WSU was much cheaper and better

I'm on the campus almost weekly,because my school is a minute or two away. Always clean, people are welcoming, full of smiles, and they do a lot to give back to the community. Love it.

Campus is beautiful, and you can always find something to do, whether it's an open mic night or a frisbee game on foss field. PLU is a very welcoming community with small class sizes and friendly professors. The library is a great place to get quiet studying done, and there are lots of places to get coffee!

Sure wish I could buy some merchandise from the book store. It seems that you have to be a student to do so. How about some of us old Alumni that would like to buy a few items? Let me know when you open an online store up. I'd like a couple of sweatshirts, a hat and some license plate holders to start! lol

Just saw PLU's Christmas special. Incredible! Great orchestra, great choirs, great pipe organ, great venue, cool staff, amazing. PLU is a great music resource for our whole region. Check its site.

Be wary of this "christian" university which touts inclusivity and tolerance. If you are a male, if you are white (or even appear white), if you lean right politically, this university will deny you entrance, or directly discriminate …

Nice views of the mountain, great art and places to relax, or get a workout in. Big fields, basketball courts, walking and cycle paths will get you where you need to go. Oh and sick parkour spots!

July 4th, dont be home in the area if you can't stand your ears ringing. My home is not soundproof.

Nice place! Great University I think. I was there for the covid shot in Olson auditorium. They had a fire drill slowed everything up quite a bit but I got the covid modena.
