I had a great stay abroad during the summer school in two modules at the Knauss School of Business. A very impressive and beautiful campus and the buffet and university store are also recommended! Two free shuttle bus lines run between the parking lots and the campus buildings.
Go elsewhere for a better education!!! The campus is beautiful, but the beauty stops there. Behind the surface is a hypocritical organization that protects the powerful and tramples over everyone else. Students pay $60k/year to be taught by old professors who checked out 30 years ago and haven't updated their courses since then. The university is plagued by scandals. There are plenty of other universities that provide a better education at a more reasonable price without the hypocrisy and lack of values.
My daughter and I attended a performance of the “Jury Experience.” Overall, it was an enjoyable experience…innovative interaction with the audience that allowed for an engaging evening. The acting was stiff at times, though. And the background music was not coordinated well with the dialogue, sometimes drowning out the actors’ speech.
University of San Diego did. A great job hosting the PLL this weekend. The staff were great, the stadium was clean and well maintained! Easy parking and over all a great time.
That was one of the most beautiful campuses in San Diego, maybe even the country. Wow! I was particularly struck by the old world European architecture. Wow!
This is an absolutely gorgeous College Campus. The variety of plants & the landscape design are impressive The Immaculata Catholic Church should not be missed.
The faculty couldn't care less to know me as a holistic individual. They act like I'm invisible when I ask for support. It's like I am nothing but a student/tuition, and if I ever dare to talk about being human with needs, they would quickly dismiss me or hold blind eyes. I learned very little in my classes and I can confidently say I learn a lot more by reading books and watching YouTube videos. It's like the professors only want us to validate them instead of really questioning the status quo. Our professors offer 20 year old research and in this day and age, that feels like a century old. Waste of time money and a soul crushing experience of capitalism!
I attended this school in the 1990s as a chemistry major. The faculty and curriculum were excellent. If you have never been, I recommend a guided tour by the admissions office. I'm proud to have attended USD, and I hope my children will have an opportunity to attend as well.
One of the best Christian private university that provides education not indoctrination
The University of San Diego is seriously awesome! First off, it's in this amazing location with beautiful views – like, who wouldn't want to study with a backdrop of cool architecture and coastal scenes? The buildings are pretty stylish, giving the whole campus a nice vibe. What's great about USD is that the classes aren't enormous, so you're not just a face in the crowd. The teachers are really approachable and actually care about how you're doing. They make learning feel less like a chore and more like a journey where you're discovering new things. But it's not all about hitting the books. The campus is buzzing with life – clubs, events, you name it. There's always something interesting happening. And the university is big on giving back to the community. You can get involved in projects that make a real difference, and that's pretty cool. Now, let's talk about the campus facilities. They're top-notch. From modern classrooms to comfy places to hang out, they've got it all. If you need a place to stay, the residences are solid too. It's like they've thought of everything to make your college life smooth. USD is also big on broadening your horizons. They encourage students to go abroad, which is a fantastic way to see the world and learn beyond the textbooks. It's all about getting a global perspective, and that's pretty rad. In a nutshell, the University of San Diego is a great place. It's got a good vibe, friendly people, and everything you need for a solid college experience. Thumbs up for a place that's more than just classrooms and exams!
I attended USD over 50 years ago..it has the most beautiful campus in all of California...I met the love of my life there. So many happy memories of those years
Great place to walk around and getting to know students and professors in campus! I love the campus overall and the library has great books and so does the shop. …
Very beautiful campus with ocean views
I love USD. It's a catholic school but they support and promote all the religions. Staffs are really supportive. Very friendly environment. Faculties are awesome. We can meet our president twice a semester in Fire Talk meetings. …
It's just a nice place to study
Where the good kids go to school if they can swing it and I know the tech recruiters are way into the graduates, by experience, literally nothing like the recruiting going on at UCSD. Been to job fairs at both, and dealt with students from …
The campus is pretty. The teachers, at least those who are fluent in English, are mediocre, and those whose English language skills are very poor, are token so this campus can brag about being diverse. The dorms are so noisy that it is …
Campus is as clean as a whistle - grounds crew - kudos ! Visited my daughter there after 2 months of Frosh year. She loves it, is well adapted, and staff & profs are top notch. The Marine Sciences major is fairly new, rigorous , well …
Pretty modern style school. Basically it's a very new school compares to others (if you like a historical one, then it's not the one). Very high population of Asian students, sometimes you may feel you are in Asia. Many parking lots (not free) available. HWY I-5 is nearby. Easy access.
I am an alum who graduated in 2009 with honors. From my perspective USD lacks an academic focus and caters to wealthy students regardless of their ability. Tuition is far too high for the quality of education you will receive. The financial …
