Don't attend this school. They brainwash you to think that the staff is here to help you. Know one cares about the student. You can't get in touch with registrar. You don't have any form of guidance when it comes to any staff at Sacred Heart. Once they take your money, your a goner. I graduated from this school and this was by far the worst university experience in my life. They are better universities in Connecticut that don't charge an arm & a leg. Actual good ones that guide the student and have actually people answer phone calls. I feel like the staff does whatever they want because there are no consequences for screwing students over. Parents of freshmans, stay away from this mediocre school.

Has very nice grounds. The tour guide did a very nice job of showing everyone around in the hot sun. She spoke very clearly and explained everything very well. They seemed very accommodating to everyone's needs. They have a chapel so that students can pray or go to Mass(or whatever other religion they may practice) right next to the dorms. Very beautiful place would recommend a visit to Sacred Heart University.

Sacred Heart was a decent university to attend but its not great. The professors and student body are a mixed bag. Some of the professors are bad and not very engaging, some are decent and do a decent job, and some are great. The academic programs are a mixed bag depending on what you peruse. The nursing and marketing programs are great, but some of the "smaller" programs are mixed. The students are also similar in the sense of unfriendly to friendly. The main academic building and some other older buildings are run down, and tired, and stick out like a sore thumb in comparison to the newer buildings. Specifically the main academic building with 63's dining hall probably hasn't been updated or renovated since the early 2000's. The newer building's are modern and sheik and appealing. The residential buildings are similar- they are either really run down or outdated, or they are really nice, depending on which dorm your assigned. Most are relatively newer and nice. The SHUttles are also pretty effective and do the job for students who may not drive or don't have a car. The food options SUCK. 63's (the buffet style restaurant) is mediocre at best. "The Market" does the job for a oncampus cafe. Linda's is decent for a quick in and out place for grab and go food. Similarly, JP's is also a decent place for a diner like setting - probably the best place on campus for food options! Einstein's is also as good.

The new hockey ring is very nice. The science center is for very young kids so I wouldnt recommend for adults. The planetarium was the best part . i wish you could just pay for that and do that separate . The paper airplane room was the best. But I was disappointed with the rest of the musuem being mostly just a foam toys and a jungle gym for kids not worth $18 admission for adults to learn about science.

Worse experience of my life. They claim they guarantee housing on campus all 4 years but it’s a LIE. They put me in a hotel as a freshman this year. It was 15 minutes away from campus and I missed out on everything. I dropped out a couple of weeks ago. If affected me emotionally and ruined everything for me. I missed out on meeting friends, living in a dorm, and being on campus. They don’t return any phone calls. All the care about is MONEY. Don’t recommend going to SHU at all. They have no sympathy for me and think they did nothing wrong by putting me in a hotel my freshman year.

If you want to go to a university that pretends in order for you to learn the student has to give the class while the professors sit in the back and watch; this is the place for you. Don't expect to learn. The teachers just tell what books to buy and you learn on your own. Just a front. Big business.

I love the feeling I get while walking around campus. The school is small enough where you know people, but big enough where you can definitely find what you are interested in. There are so many things to do and get involved in.

Though I have never attended SHU I have experienced a student who was highly homophobic and bullied a younger student. When the school was informed they took no action to stop this inexcusable behavior from occurring again. Said student has also posted on multiple social accounts her in the possession of alcoholic drinks. I would hope a university such as this would hold a higher standard for their students who, in fact, represent this school. Sad. Very sad.

worst school ever, if you want teachers that are clueless, being scammed in everything, and you want scumbag students, this is for you, if you want a meaningful experience with teamwork, no hypocracy, and reasonable prices, find a different school. this school is horrible in every way and if you get a student job, you will learn that these people have no idea what they are doing. for god sakes living in Bridgeport would be better than going here. and as of 2013, there is housing trouble because they screwed up and accepted so many people that they have different dorms for different people of different years, and now they are making another dorm because of that, also, if need a hospital, do not go to the one they send you to, I came out of there begging to be put down
