I truly appreciated the honest and warm help that I received from a woman name Angel. I was in need of my transcripts and she went the extra mile to help me succeed. She provided excellent customer services and hospitality from the heart.
I know a lot of people left reviews but I wanted to leave one more recent in the hopes people will see it. Stick with me here ! First things first, the classes were good and education was fine. HOWEVER and this is a big however I dropped out of courses because it just wasn’t for me. Fast forward almost a year later, me being under the impression I was dropped out and done because no one ever communicates properly, I get an email stating I will be send to collections. I try to find out more and no one is willing to help me. No one is able to provide proper cause and why this is happening. I was told I didn’t drop out properly and that would be my fault. It wouldn’t be their job to follow up and help me. They said there is nothing I can do, to the answers of why no one said anything for a year that I had a balance was a simple " I don’t know " I made peace with having to pay that money since no one wants to help me. However now I am running into the problem of getting send around, having been told three different things, stating I can’t set up a payment plan it would have to be in full( I was told something else two days ago ) by God knows when for no one can get me an exact date when I will be send to collections. - With that I am owing a lot of money which I didn’t know I did for almost a year. And no one cares because I quote " not their job, your problem " my problem of coming up with a lot of money by " date unknown " No one wants to help. Everyone just gives the solution of " just pay the money ". This is by far one of the most outrageous experiences I have ever had. Please make sure if you do attend, get everything in writing and properly laid out otherwise it’s your word against theirs and they don’t care about your word.
I attended the Minority SBA event and learned a lot, while making professional contacts. A great day for all and hopefully one that will continue. Del Tech had a wonderful conference facility that was easy to find and access.
This experience was Spring 2023… Terrible experience!!!! There is an academic advisor named Wayne Morra. Him and I spoke via phone 1x. I inquired about the process, requirements regarding their Nursing Programs. Because i was a Nursing student prior and failed 5 months before graduation. So I was trying to see if Del Tech would give me credit for any of my classes that I took before. He provided information that seemed conflicting. So I questioned the information he told me. I never mentioned another student to him. I stated “I knew someone who went and graduated and this wasn’t their process. So I asked if the process changed?? Wayne hung up with me and went back to Dean of Nursing named Joseph Barnes and fabricated the conversation that him and I had. Quite interesting when your job is to set students up for success. You can’t help students be successful when you have an issue with integrity yourself as an advisor and a Nursing Instructor. Jospeh Barnes then calls me basically attempting to scare me and intimidate me over the phone about this allegedly conversation I had with Wayne Morra. Which I informed Joseph Barnes I never had this exact conversation with Wayne, and even if I did have this conversation inquiring about this process why are you calling me ? When have you ever heard of a Dean calling a student about them asking questions. When has this ever happened?? Never!!! I asked him if I was a white student would this be your response? He got quiet. Joseph Barnes tone was extremely aggressive and intimidating. He went back and forth with me for approximately 15-20 minutes. Before I informed him I would be informing the Provost about Wayne Morra actions and Joseph Barnes behavior . This was not appropriate. I expect more from a College institution. This was a form of an academic oppression and bully tactics . It discouraged me completely from attending Del Tech. I would never recommend any student to attend Del Tech especially if they are Minority students who may have to interact with Wayne Morra who seems to have issues with honesty and Joseph Barnes seems to be a bully. Someone from the provost office did call me ! But the damage was already done.
I ran in the Del Tech Chocolate 5k Run/Walk in Dover, DE today. It was the best 5k I've ever participated in..EVER... well organized, ample and close parking, clean, wonderful volunteers, the best after party ever... The T-shirts smelled like chocolatel!!! So creative and cool design. If this run is an example of how students are treated and educated, this is the place to attend, folks!!!
Well organized health event. Some informative classes. Free lunch and many vendors offering all kinds of takeaways and information on their services. Can't wait until next year's event. Great day for anyone who has diet restrictions our lives with someone with such needs.
Huge hall with plenty of free parking. Could use more handicapped parking.
I applied for the summer semester in 2022, and upon getting signed up I realized after a few weeks that the classes weren't right. They somehow managed to put me in the wrong major, and I didn't figure it out until I discussed my classes with a teacher there. Then, through the same teacher, I was told that my seed program wasn't going to take effect since I was taking classes in the summer. It's funny how a teacher knew these things, but I wasn't told the whole time I was getting registered. I was going to have to pay for my whole semester if I didn't manage to get a grant then. Flash forward to now, December 2023, and I get woken up by a call. Apparently I have an outstanding debt to them for my fall semester-- the fall semester that I never even applied for. I dropped out in my summer semester because of your poor management, so why would I start the fall semester? They're all greedy. Looking to cover up facts and shove payments on you for the sake of making some extra cash. Do NOT go here. You're better off learning from a homeless guy in an alley.
I parked here and the accessibility was great. Enough parking that I was not worried about my vehicle being hit and it has coverage over the vehicles (great for rainy weather). Easy access to the college or to catch a bus ride.
Prolly the worst institution I’ve ever transferred to glad to get this over in the summer
