I’ve been a student here for almost 2 years. Amidst starting school during the hardest time in my life, I went through homelessness & divorce as a single parent while attending here. The support started out great, and I was even part of a program called TRIO but they decided to remove me from the program that is much help for folks in my situation. The reasoning was because I chose not to do a financial aid appeal, and since that is a personal decision I was able to make that decision on my own and didn’t realize I’d be kicked out of the program for not doing so. I’m assuming the advisors in said program look better if their students are doing better. There is a lot more I could say, but I think this is a joke. I was honestly contemplating school this semester etc, but this truly sealed the deal for me as I will not be continuing on.

I’ve been a student athlete here for 3 years now because I took a red shirt season so I did my sport unattached one year and now I’m back on scholarship. But I’m giving them a 1 star rating because every single person there except the coaches, the athletic director and the professors are LITTLE to NO HELP. All they care about is money and they DO NOT CARE what situation you are in. They never have any remorse and will never help you they will simply just answer your question and that’s it. There’s so many things they don’t tell you that THEY CAN help you with and they just won’t. They all have poor communication skills with each other and never tell you the full picture of anything. One minute you think something then the next they tell you something different. Real great to encourage students to apply for FAFSA because it makes the school look great and then not let us use it up to a certain point. :)

We all have the right to complain. I would like to call on teachers and those who work in the educational center to worry about their students as people and individuals so that there no more resentment and hatred.love your job,is to for the future of tomorrow.you have a lot of responsibility in your hands.make a difference and stand from the rest with love, everything is possible and form men and women of pride for the nation

I’ve been trying to get past the application process to enroll in their nursing program but honestly this school seems like they have no idea what they are doing. The enrollment department is little to no help. The woman kept telling me that I need my official transcripts from highschool. All while I kept informing her that I had been out of highschool since 2011 and the “ electronic” transcripts were no longer available. All in all the entire communication process is very distasteful and deters you from wanting them to educate you in any way, let alone giving them money. There are plenty of other professional schools. Don’t waste your time

I gave their cosmetology program, specifically, their nail instructor a 1 star rating because there's not a zero star option. Apparently when she's overseeing more areas than just her area it goes to her head. I went to get my hair done & had my 9 daughter with me when it hasn't been a problem with the hair instructor and when I asked to speak to the hair instructor the student brought the nail instructor.

Went to a commencement there. It was very organized. Security, parking signs to show you where to go. Very clean. Very impressed with my the professional wins. Um, that's leading the school.

I attended Corrections Academy at Olustee Campus...Classes and training were great; instructors were helpful and knowledgeable, and classes contained a wealth of information. Administrators were thorough in their records and class analysis. Great experience!

I started attending this college right out of high school, when it was still known as Lake City Community College and graduated with an AA in 2011. The college recently became a 4-Year Degree institution, so it's still building it's catalogue in some ways I think. Regarding enrollment, if you stay on top of the dates and schedules, it's a fast and fairly easy matter. I do not say this as a privileged student, I did not get a free ride here. The longer you wait to enroll however, the longer it will take to finish the process. This is a small school, usually topping out around 3,000 students, so the staff is fairly small as well. I've noticed other reviews tackling the issue with parking, and yes, after 10 AM CONVENIENT parking can get pretty scarce. Once again, small campus, smaller resources. Pro Tip: Walking is actually good for you, and the campus consists of plenty of trees and a few covered walkways. I walked the length of this campus over and over, several times a day and lost a few extra pounds doing it. Contrary to previous reviews, I found more than just a few staff members to be comfortable to deal with, particularly Humanities instructors, the Library staff, and the Student Activities staff. I made a lot of friends on this campus, even going on to serve in the Student Government Association there. Had they offered a Bachelor's Degree for my major, I would have gladly stayed.

I mean, it's school. You'll receive a good quality education despite its size. The smaller classes are a plus in my opinion. It can make learning less difficult when the professors have the ability to get to each student. The parking isn't always the best but what college parking is 🤷‍♀️ They also offer a wide variety of majors from criminal justice (mine) to nursing. They even have food trucks on campus. I personally have never been to the trucks but I see them all the time. Anyhow, the school is fine.

Love it! Cosmetology was great, very helpful staff and instructors. I go in regularly for appointments while not in class myself, and overall everything at the college is great except for the parking. Needs more spaces. No need to be a previous student angry at other instructors because yours quit before she was fired.
