Exceptional Student Government Association Staff, Friendliest IT woman and the most diligent Advising, Admissions, and Support Student/Staff I've had the pleasure to work with and be helped by. With plenty of study space all indoor Air conditioned areas. An amazing Student Life Center including pool tables and gaming for stress relieve from school studies this campus does it right! And best of all the Dean is awesome in every retrospect. The security, maintenance, and cleaning staff are just as 5 star as the rest of the campus and it makes me proud to be a student here! Most of all I have one of the kindest and most thoughtful professors ; Mrs Lisa Reinhard!!!!! Just to make sure I haven't forgot one of the most important parts of a school; the Library is fantastic with some really amazing people including tutoring labs and help that is rare to find these days; but comes in a multitude with these amazing people! In addition; Mrs Grubbs, who has a wonderful way of instilling perspective and inspiration that comes from a very sincere heart. Makes the interaction between educator and student a team learning experience through innovating ideas and concepts helps rid the disparagement of some classes or less involved professors whom don't make the cut as Heroes. Heroes who give insight and who should be festooned in gratitude by the students they encourage by their character and compassion would be; College Professor L. Reinhard, College Professor C. Grubbs, Student Services Coordinator R.Gonzalez, Student Success Advisor D. Frantz, and Student Advisor Y. Shabat ! These are Manta Rays that make a difference!

Deerwood, FSCJ's best kept secret! I absolutely love this campus! It is a concerted shopping mall, so a excellent reuse of a otherwise completely wasted building. This appeals to my love of recycling right off the bat. The whole facility is modern and clean. By far the nicest campus in my honest opinion. It is easy to get to right on Southside near Butler Boulevard and has ample parking. Also the classrooms are clean with comfortable seating. I love the indoor plants and trees which make the air always feel fresh in the building. Being once a shopping mall the building has excellent climate control which some of the buildings at other campuses lack. Also the a good many of the processors seem to really care about the students.

This is my favorite FSCJ campus. Yes it's small but that just means you don't have to go too far to go anywhere. The campus is small but very clean, well maintained, pretty, quiet and peaceful. The library is my favorite library of all FSCJ campuses, its small and cozy but large enough to still get privacy, there are computers for you to use and private study rooms if you need somewhere private and quiet. The staff are all friendly and willing to help you out and the professors are amazing and want to see you succeed! I love the cafe here too, customer service is amazing and the coffee and food are amazing! there's also lots of good restaurants across the street too if you want more than just breakfast from the cafe.

Terrible wait times for student success center . Definitely need improvement There are 30 people on the queue but only a few persons waiting in the lobby , no one calling any name , just keep waiting, something wrong with this place , workers just sitting on their desk , doing something other than solve student’s problems.

I'm looking forward to taking A.A. classes very soon. EAP program is perfect for students who don't have high school in America the same as me. Professor Anna Bartlett is one of my favorites in the Downtown campus. Unfortunately, FSCJ doesn't provide all bachelor's programs like nutrition, but they can make a transfer to UNF easily.

The service and schedules for the ESOL program are really bad, they have schedules that are incompatible with the schedules of a working person. It was impossible for me to enroll, because they never sent me the student identification number, and when I went to the office for help they told me that I could only request it by phone, after waiting hours it was on the phone for someone to assist me on Spanish and get the number I went to the office at 4:00 pm on a Thursday and they told me that the line was very long and that they couldn't help me. I explained that I had been the day before and he simply didn't care that I came back the next day. , I told him tomorrow is Friday to which he replied I'm sorry so Monday, I responded Monday I have to work and he just said I'm sorry. Finally, I told him that the service at this college is terrible, to which he only answered ok. I really decided not to enroll and although the price is much higher, I enrolled at UNF where they make everything much easier for you and the attention is unmatched. I REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! and I rate it with one star because otherwise it won't let me publish my comment otherwise I wouldn't give it a single star.

I recently graduated from the Medical Assistant program with FSCJ - Deerwood Campus. It was truly an amazing experience. I had classes Mon-Thursday, with two days being online and two days being on campus. The days we did online would be lectures. The days we were on campus was when we were doing labs. We would do vitals, learn about different types of labs, and study as well. Towards the end, we got to be placed at an office to complete our 200 hour externship course. The instructional program manager, Mrs. Cochran, was truly amazing. She stepped in and helped out throughout the program. She assisted getting placement for me to complete my externship, helped me with the GRAD out appt, and stepped up with providing documentation to AMT for my certification. She’s an amazing resource to go too for any questions/concerns during your time in the program. If you’re looking for an affordable and helpful program for Medical Assisting, I highly recommend FSCJ - Deerwood.

The professors are very helpful, and really do care about the students success. The atmosphere in the library and the writing lab are helpful as well. If I had to say one thing to improve on it would be to open back up the admissions area where the advisors are, which is now by appointment only. Closing it off has alienated many students, and it seems sad in there now instead of festive like it used to be.

This is a great campus. A lot of really enthusiastic professors, interesting classes and friendly supportive atmosphere. Just ask older students which professors to take and you'll enjoy your college experience. A true asset.

It's a very nice campus for a community college. It is smaller than the other campuses, but to its convenience. You do not have to walk far to get anywhere. A nice building and friendly staff.

I have 3 degrees from FSCJ over the years, now working on my Master's from another university. I entered the building to find a quiet corner to study, like I've done many times, and security kicked me out at the door saying current students …

The campus itself is easy enough to navigate and the people are nice. The institution is horrible because they are the cheapest legit school in the area and they know students will jump through hoops to get an affordable education. Hubby and I are both changing schools because we've had lousy experiences.

It's alright for a state funded college. Some of the tech and classroom furniture is a bit dated, but that's fine, as my classes are cheap when compared to the privately run colleges near by. It's one of nicest campus I've been to in the FSCJ system too.
