City Vision University is a first class learning establishment. I thoroughly enjoyed getting an undergraduate certificate and associate's degree. The faculty are amazing and the courses are affordable. I recommend this school to anyone seeking a better understanding of the world, God, and of self.
City Vision University was exactly what I needed for my educational journey. As someone working in ministry, I was looking for a program that was flexible, affordable, and practical—and CVU delivered. By the time I attended City Vision University, I had already completed two master’s degrees at Fuller Seminary. The organization that employs me has a partnership with CVU, and I decided to take advantage of this benefit. I first earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, then an AAS in Christian Ministry & Leadership, and finally, my MBA in Executive Leadership. I can say that CVU wasn't as research based and academically rigorous as Fuller Seminary, but they weren't slouches either. What drew me to CVU was their commitment to those working with homelessness and addiction—many of their programs are tailored for this world. The 8-week course schedule was ideal, with assignments that built on each other toward a final project. As an experienced student, I also appreciated their use of Populi and Canvas for course management. And of course, affordability sealed the deal. A few minor drawbacks: the CVU name feels niche rather than academic, though they are fully accredited the name might make some people question on your resume - and it has. Some of the course videos are a bit dated, and I would have liked more elective offerings. But overall, CVU provided a structured, high-quality education that was immediately applicable to my work at Water Street Mission. If you're looking for a mission-driven, accessible, and practical education, I recommend City Vision University. This journey is more than just getting a degree in your hands, it is about a commitment to lifelong learning and that is worth it.
My experience at CVU was incredibly fruitful. I transferred to CVU from another university to finish my Masters degree and they honored all of my credits. The cost is affordable, the program is flexible, and the education is challenging, effective, and by all means--practical. Sure, everything is online, but it really helps when you live far from Kansas City and you don't have to be there in person. The faculty was intentional, wise, and experienced, and I could not have had better classes on counseling and ministry.
I had a great experience working through my certificate in Nonprofit Management. CityVision gave me the opportunity to do school while still working full-time. The instructors do a great job of helping each student understand the materials.
City Vision University is the best online university there is! The staff is amazing, always ready to support and guide the students through any challenges they face, and the professors are very knowledgeable and quick to help through the learning process. The curriculum is highly effective including practical materials. The zoom meetings and discussion forums also provides a wide range of social interactions between the students. I am graduating with a masters degree in Business Administration and if I had to choose an online school again, I’d choose City Vision University with no hesitation. Thank you to all who have made my experience with this university so valuable!
City Vision University met all of my expectations. When I re-visited my academic journey with City Vision, I had a full-time job and a family. I needed something affordable, flexible but also quality. City Vision was the perfect fit and I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to pursue a degree in the Christian nonprofit sector.
My experience with City Vision University has been fantastic. While completing my MBA, I had many conversations with instructors and the University President, who has become a friend. The classes are always improving, and the staff goes to great lengths to hear input from students. I've also enjoyed setting up partnerships for two ministry organizations and seen many staff members enroll and continue, or start, their education. The other thing that I appreciated was the cost, I was able to complete my degree without accumulating debt, which was very important to me. Thanks to all the staff at CVU, you have a special place in my heart!
City Vision University is an incredible Christian online university that provides a high level education at the most affordable price. My experience with City Vision University has been wonderful from start to finish. I am proud to be an MBA graduate from CVU. I enjoyed my experience so much that I have referred many friends to the university and hope to continue to partner with CVU in the future.
Overall, a great Christian online university that is still Biblically based with accessible professors. I recently graduated with a graduate certificate in Christian ministry and liked the diversity of courses on the Bible, theology, leadership, and especially the cross-cultural management. The online format is perfect for me working abroad as an engineer in development and it's been a huge encouragement to learn with students from the US and around the world. Being online, I can watch the video lectures and do most assignments on my own schedule, though sometimes the Zoom calls were at awkward hours for those of us in South-East Asia. The professors were not overly academic but constantly tried to make the material practical and useful to us, got to know each student a bit, and challenged us in our learning. The classes were better structured than other online only classes I have taken. Of course, there are some things that can be improved but the staff and professors were eager for feedback and ways to fix issues and augment the content. Through City Vision University I think I have grown in my professional skills, deepened my knowledge of the Bible, church history, non-profit workings, and grew closer to Jesus as I walked through the coursework with other dedicated students in a variety of ministry roles.
A+ experience! I just graduated from City Vision with a B.S. in Nonprofit Management, and it was a wonderful experience. Transferring my associate’s degree credits was easy, and I was able to finish my bachelor’s degree in just two years. The program is designed for working professionals and provides a great deal of flexibility. The staff and facility are always friendly, helpful, and responsive. As a nonprofit management professional for over 20 years, I was delighted that the classes were completely relevant to contemporary nonprofits without being over-simplified or easy. I felt challenged, and I strengthened my knowledge-base with each course. I wasn’t sure how personal of an experience an online program would be and was pleasantly surprised to be able to create friendships with my classmates and to feel a genuine connection to my instructors. The classes are interactive and use discussion boards so you can contribute each week according to your own schedule. I have to mention that City Vision is so affordable that I graduated debt-free!! I recommend City Vision for anyone in the nonprofit realm who is looking to further their education. You will grow personally and professionally.
