I just began my academic journey this summer semester at Rasmussen University. So far they have been so supportive and guiding into adjusting to the university. Help is always around and I’m thankful for the staff that has allowed me the opportunity to study here. Special shout out to admission representative Charissa Berry with a smooth admission process

I was just six months away from graduating when everything fell apart. Rasmussen Brandon changed the curriculum mid-program, and I struggled through the most recent semester while managing serious personal and medical issues. Despite being told exceptions could be made under such circumstances, I was unexpectedly dismissed from the program. I asked for help and submitted documentation, but received no real support. My advisor incorrectly told me I couldn’t reappeal and even responded to my follow-up email with “LEAVE ME ALONE” in all caps when I asked her to send me the second appeal form. A different advisor ended up sending it. My appeal was ultimately denied twice. Now I’m left with over $20,000 in student loans and nothing to show for it. Future nursing students- look elsewhere. This school will not stand by you when life gets hard. All they care about is the money. The Dean left the program unannounced in the middle of the year, which raises obvious concerns about leadership and accountability. Since then, there’s been no real direction. Most instructors either read straight from PowerPoints or spend class time telling unrelated life stories. Terrible experience overall.

It’s never an easy decision when starting college when you’re working full time, a mother and wife. But some tough decisions must be made & I made this one on my time. I’ve been attending since 4/2025, and I must say Ms. Chloe Bright has been a REMARKABLE advisor. I can write her 5-10 times a day, and she’ll respond. She has been nothing but kind and I must admit moving forward without her, is bittersweet. However, I know she’ll be a remarkable advisor to the future students at Rasmussen. Thank you so much Chloe for all you’ve assisted me with.

Extremely Disappointed with the Nursing Program at Rasmussen College - Brandon, FL I have two students currently attending the nursing program at Rasmussen College in Brandon, FL, and our experience has been far from satisfactory. The last semester was an absolute disaster. The school had to adjust exam scores and offer remediation to students due to the ongoing issues. The biggest problem has been the disconnect between the curriculum and the exams. The students are not provided with the proper materials, lessons, or guidance to succeed. Despite numerous emails from the school promising to correct these issues, nothing has been done. The curriculum doesn't align with the exams, and when students ask professors if the lessons will be tested, the response is always, "We don’t know." As a result, many students, including my own, are struggling to meet the minimum grade requirement. The lack of support and clarity has been disheartening. To make matters worse, the school is currently on probation from the state nursing board. At this point, I cannot recommend Rasmussen College in Brandon, FL, for their nursing program. If you're considering this school, I suggest you look elsewhere.

When I tell you that both Nikinna & Karolina are rockstars, they are the A1 team for sure. I am extremely grateful for them both as I was extremely nervous in registering for classes as it has been some time since I've attended school. They have made me so comfortable through this entire process that I would recommend anyone I know to attend Rasmussen and for them to have the same experience I had with working with them.

Leaving one star only because zero isn’t an option. This is hands down the worst school in the country. Total waste of time and money. They can’t even keep a dean, and the administration is completely disorganized. Clinical sites don’t even want Rasmussen students because we’re not properly trained — most can’t even perform basic tasks. It’s a joke of a program, and they should be ashamed of the education they’re providing.

I could not recommend a college less the scheduling options only have one slots for each class so really there are no options for you and if it doesn’t work for you youre straight out of luck going forward and figuring things out on your own it’s a nightmare please dive deep into any other possible options for your education if you want an institution thats set up for you to succeed. They’ve upped tuition twice since I’ve been enrolled at that it seems like a money grab with teachers and facility members coming in and out. Beware.

DO NOT GO HERE. My family is in the current ADN program. I am outraged and highly disappointed. Changed testing platform half way through school to increase nclex pass rates. PROBLEM..students failing classes in masses, nationwide. Students are not learning the basics for entry level nursing. I am a 21 year veteran who cant even answer some of the questions asked. Instructors do not even know what to teach as the tests are wildly disproportionate and often tested at a higher level knowledge base then what entry level RNs should know. Students have been fighting for their rights and their education since Jan with no response or help from the college at a national level. The ones that are passing will not be ready for the Nclex in my opinion as the Nclex is geared for basic entry level nursing not the caliper these students are being tested on. Rasmussen do better! You are making your students suffer and its demoralizing. What is your call to action regarding this? Your students deserve better and our community needs these nurses and deserves better!

I had the pleasure of working with Nikinna Stroud during my admissions process at Rasmussen University, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the very beginning, Nikinna demonstrated exceptional knowledge and expertise. She provided clear, thorough answers to all of my questions and guided me through every step of the admissions process with ease. What stood out the most was her responsiveness. No matter what time I reached out, I received timely and professional responses. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my success and was dedicated to ensuring I had all the information I needed to make informed decisions about my education. Her professionalism and support have made a potentially stressful process much smoother, and I’m incredibly grateful for her assistance. If you’re considering Rasmussen University, I highly recommend reaching out to Nikinna. She is a true asset to the admissions team!

I have been looking for a nursing school since the beginning of the year. Rasmussen University was one of them. I began to notice red flags from the beginning that I kept ignoring. At the beginning I asked to come in person to tour the school, so I can speak with someone face to face, to ask for their pros and cons etc. I was told that I do not have to come to the school. Everything had to be done via email and very minimal phone calls which I initiated because I had a lot of questions and emails were taking way too long. This is not my first rodeo therefore I am aware of how certain things should get done. For example, financial the aid part, all the schools I have been to there was a financial aid rep that sat down with me in person to walk me through everything. Though I know every school runs differently but this was absurd. I literally had to do everything on my own. The only time someone actually sat down with me was when I took the HESI exam and all they did was have me sign papers to get enrolled (how convenient). Thats the only actual interaction I had with someone in person. I was very specific that I needed in person classes not online. I was somehow blind folded into doing the starting classes online. I thought I would get an actual schedule and an actual live class every day. I was wrong, there's ONE live class a week and basically, you're on your own from there on out. Everyone has a different way of learning, and this is NOT it for me. I noticed it was a big issue for the classmates as well because everyone kept saying it in the class comments. So, I decided to withdraw from Rasmussen. I tried to contact my admissions advisor, and I received automated email stating that she'll be out until April 14th, so I decided to call the school. A man name MARTIN from admissions answered and was extremely rude on the phone. This was definitely the cherry on top for me!! By the way, Nikinna S (my admissions advisor) was sweet. It's just too bad how things run in this school. Only if they had fully onsite classes and better communication skills the story would be different.
