The welding course was unparalleled! Tayler Davidson is a fantastic instructor with amazing energy. He takes his time with each student, providing genuine and highly experienced feedback. He notices when students are going the extra mile. With a keen eye for technique adjustments, he is communicative, flexible, understanding, and writes personal notes to keep up with every student. Jeremiah Cooper brings depth of knowledge and proficiency, with a knack for clarity in instruction. Both are amazing as a team and on their own when running the course. Have a clear passion for instruction, strict when necessary, and always give opportunities to learn at a personalized pace. If you put in the effort, they will set you up for success.
I have decided to get my GED. I visited the Adult Education Dept. The ladies are great! They are under restrictions because of the Covid. And they are handling it well. I was only in the one building, but it was clean and well kept. The outside of the campus looked well taken care of also. They have a lot of classes that can be taken there. I'm mainly going just for the satisfaction of getting my diploma. But who knows!
The commercial truck driving is a great program the instructor's are strict but teach the best, I would recommend getting cdl's at this place over any other school. The trucks are well kept, equipped with ten speed manual that way you don't have to worry about a automatic restriction on your license. Great equipment the instructor's are great this is the best and only place to get your class a cdl's period.
Learning a trade has never been easier than at GNTC!!! From Truck Driving, Welding, Nursing, Cosmetology and Drafting. They have an essential Job training program for everyone.
Went here for a driving class and it was uh interesting to say the least the tests where easy to pass the teachers where extremely helpful he gave us examples from his life about things to do when driving it's a nice campus too very clean when I took the test tho after the class like where you drive around with somebody that was the most interesting bit I can't go into to much detail and I won't but the guy was great at teaching me stuff I had gotten everything down in just three days even drove on the freeway on day three did good I think
Not enough diversity here. Black women and people of color do not join their cosmetology program or any other at that. I was the only black female in my class and it’s always that way. I’ve heard so many stories from past women that went here and didn’t have a good experience. I was singled out in my class, talked about and often made a joke of by other classmates. These girls were rude, sneaky and mean. I went to the instructor, president and administration about this and they did nothing. I had to remove myself from the situation. The program isn’t designed for women of color. Nothing but white women on posters and in magazines. And only white hair products. They hardly touched on black/ ethnic hair care and styles. And didn’t have experience working on black hair. Please do not go here.
Horrible teachers who lie and only care about money. My mother was weeded out by her techer for not fitting the mold of a nurse. They lied and talked behind her back. She reported said teacher, but nothing was done. Do not go there.
Great place to learn how to drive a truck I went to my CDL truck driving school at this college 12 years ago and I still return year after year to thank them so if you want a CDL and learn how to drive a truck Northwest Georgia Technical College is the place to go
Teachers apparently can skip two weeks of class and then skip the chapters but still request the work from the chapters they skipped. My teacher did this and apparently it's my fault for not doing the work he did not teach. I sincerely hope this school goes bankrupt and everyone loses their job for allowing this sort of behavior to happen and punishing students for what their instructor did. Piss off GNTC and burn in hell.
Been going to school for three semesters. Very nice campus and instructors.
