East Georgia State College

The campus is beautiful. But it is 2025 and there's no atm on the campus. Also, there was no information on the website that it was cash only. Everywhere I went on campus I was told it was cash only

The campus is always clean, but the WIFI reception out here in the boonies is not so good.

I previously criticized the lack of EGA getting transcripts together but they called me back and I don't want to leave such a harsh review because their are many other people here that do their jobs well. I was very impressed with the fact that they took the time to call me. They just need to have certain staff members in the Student Affairs office get it together organization is key to success with so many students. The campus in Swainsboro looks great everything seems to be well taken care of if they continue to work on getting the organization issue fixed with they will probably be a much more lucrative school not everybody is so determined to take core classes at a school they almost always have to transfer from to get a degree at all that doesn't give out transcripts efficiently so it does matter. But thank you for the call since Ms. Janet took her time with me I decided to take my time and up my review.

The campus is so beautiful! However, it is in a remote area not accessible to grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc., unless you have transportation. Four stars are for the clean and beautiful grounds. Less than one star for the dorm- they were dirty, and the houding staff was unable to providing any satisfactory solution...inexcusable especially since there was a notice that all dorms were "professionally" cleaned. Thank goodness we brought our own disinfectants and cleaning ptoducts.

The Statesboro Campus is the best school I have ever went to! The help that I received, mostly from Ben Johnson, was incredible. From helping me with the application and FASFA process to helping me with advice throughout my time there. The front desk workers are very welcoming and know their information, as well as the advisers.

This College is terrible. It’s located in the middle of no where in a small town so it’s nothing for students to do which makes it easy to find trouble especially if you are an African American Police target you specifically. I’ve been around racist teachers and staff members that pick and choose who they wanna see excel and who they don’t and heard their conversations about black students. The student office is ran like a DMV. They don’t answer to an educational board so any major curriculum is under the professors dictatorship. The Athletics are spoon fed. I transferred to a college back home excelled dramatically in just about all my studies as well as an opportunity in athletics that this school said I wasn’t better than what they had. Which is funny cause I had the opportunity to play professionally. Parents and Students just because it’s CHEAP does not make it good. Please do yourself a favor find another school.

The buildings and grounds are very pretty the staff that I've met have been hospitable and very nice.

My son really loved this school but after so many excuses by the school he will not be returning ever. I feel like they take money for housing knowing that they will never have adequate housing for the returning students or new students. For reasons I will not discuss I will be filing a complaint. I say do your research and don't pay any money unless you are willing to wait for an extended period or lose money.

I have transferred between three schools so far (EGA included) and this has to be the worst school I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The Student Affairs office is one room with a bunch of people working in it that don't want to do their jobs. They consistently lose documents that are sent to them and, even when they do have all of your documentation, they seem keen on blowing off their jobs and doing nothing. They use the excuse that they are so unbelievably busy, but every time I've been into that office, they are doing nothing or away from their desk. Getting accepted was a hardship, simply because I had to submit my transcripts three different times, then had to drive THREE hours to hand delivery a copy because it somehow went missing THAT often. For how much I pay to attend this school, I should get less of a headache than I do. If you're able to, take your business elsewhere. There are other schools that will be happier to take the thousands of dollars they get paid in tuition and they will do it without the massive stress migraine that East Georgia State College will give you. This school is a level of hell that is on par with going to the DMV or getting a root canal.

I've not had one issue transferring to East Georgia. I attended the Statesboro, G.A location and was a bit worried when turning in documents as they were sent to Swainsboro, Ga for the final processing. I read a review below of someone who said they lost documents, however not one of mine went missing. The staff at the Statesboro Office is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I took the Compass testing at the Swainsboro location, and everyone seemed to be on top of their job. I'm considered an out of state student this semester, so tuition is a bit pricey but for in-state its pretty cheap. All stars for the Statesboro location is Jessica, Ben, John and Mrs. Murphree. If you're taking Algebra, be sure to take Mr. Drummer. He's a super cool guy and really knows his stuff. Those who are on staff in Statesboro who weren't mentioned are just as helpful and totally rad!

Akira Sutton was our tour guide and she was very professional. Great school with so much to do and great information received today. We played dodge ball and yes my team won. Akira had on her red high top shoes but still didn't get the win. We came, fought and conquered. Thanks so much for having us.

i love the swainsboro campus when i first moved in last month on the 8th all the students was very nice too me the teachers helped me with my worked and i love the housing cant wait too come back in fall semester

well my daughter and I love this school but what can she do to find out where can she borrow a cap and gown from to take her some pics she will be graduating in December omg I can't wait I'm so Happy.

Hardly any classes for anyone that works full time! No I’m not a traditional student but it’s be nice to at least have a few options!

The campus is really nice and the staff is super friendly.
