Georgia Highlands College – Cartersville Campus: A Beautiful, Student-Centered Environment Excellent campus! The grounds are beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The staff and faculty are incredibly accommodating, welcoming, and eager to help—offering truly outstanding customer service. The campus bookstore and café are convenient bonuses, and the library is definitely worth a visit for its resources and quiet study space. It’s clear that this institution prioritizes the well-being and success of its students, faculty, and staff. A shining example of what a college experience should be!
I’ve found out what I want to do. This school has screwed me over in so many ways. My parents went through divorce and I was dealing with that along with the passing of my dog, and navigating through my life. I provided private information that only my mom’s lawyer has seen and got denied two semesters. Now I have an F and bad gpa. Vincent manasta is my stat professor and has not changed my grade after I have completed it. This school has done nothing but bring me to rock bottom and I WILL be transferred as soon as possible. Listed below is my work ethic. I write everything down and have done everything to try to succeed but Georgia highlands you have failed me and I will never attend again.
BY FAR THE ABSOLUTE BEST FACILITY ON EARTH!!! THEY ARE THE KINDEST AND MOST HELPFUL PEOPLE I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING!!! THEY ARE WILLING TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND ALL EXPECTATIONS TO ENSURE NOT ONLY ACADEMIC SUCCESS BUT SUCCESS IN YOUR NORMAL EVERYDAY LIFE AS WELL!!!
Campus is very nice but the staff fails to inform students of important information in a reasonable amount of time. I was notified only a week before payment deadline that there was a problem with my financial aid and then was told it would take 2 weeks to process everything so I had to drop all my classes. Also, they relentlessly flooded my emails with messages of their “new podcast episode” or events going on instead of actual important information. I do not recommend this college to anyone.
I went here for 3 years and got my Associates degree. The campus is great, classrooms are big enough for the class sizes, the teachers are fantastic, the staff and advisors are very helpful, the library is very nice and spacious. The only downside is that it's not a 4 year college to get your bachelor's, but if you're going to college straight out of high school (or you're going back to school), you won't get much better for such a low price.
I haven’t had any issues with the faculty or onboarding for spring 2023. This college was way more competent than Chattahoochee tech. I had a nightmare experience enrolling with chattahoochee tech in 2017 and I put off college for this long because of it. But everyone here has been great and now it’s just up to me to not fail anything lol
very nice campus, love the stone works inside and out. great tumble marble/slate stone floors. I can see the money invested into the campus, it shows in the hardscapes. thumbs up. keep up the good work. apple flat screens computers were on top too, they are in the NOW. the money is well spent in those areas.
The Cartersville campus here is really weird about their parking regulations. I tried to resolve a citation with the campus police and were not very consistent with what they were saying. If they wanted me to pay a citation then I would suggest they tell me to pay it rather than make it so complicated. I'm really disappointed and am considering to transfer to another college because of this. I came to the campus to learn not to waste my time going back and forth with parking citations.
Structure-wise, it is a big step up from the Floyd campus and helps to promote a relaxing atmosphere. The classrooms are nice and the internet is both fast and accessible.
Probably the worst/laziest group of financial and academic advisors I've ever met in my life. They make obtaining information the hardest thing you've ever had to do and are no help at all.
