Honestly OTC isn’t helpful at all and no one knows how to do their job. I applied for the rad tech program in June and it never got approved so I went up to OTC to talk to someone and the admissions lady told me that I had two emails on file and I told her the correct one to use, she informed me that my application was going to be approved the following day and told me to email the advisor for rad tech program. I email her and she had an automated email response that says she’ll be out until April 14. I walk back into the building and the ladies at the front desk told me to email another person for rad tech, I email her and she emails me back telling me she has nothing to do with rad tech program. A few weeks pass by and it was still not approved. At this point it was mid July and I applied June 2. I make an appointment with my advisor and they tell me that i can’t be in classes because i haven’t been approved. Tell me to apply AGAIN and i do and then it gets approved and i can get into classes. I do my Fafsa and im emailing financial aid and honestly she is the ONLY helpful lady because she tells me that financial aid has me on file as an “Out of state student”. Now i have been with OTC awhile. I did dual enrollment from SHS in 2023,2024 and then went fall 2024 i didn’t attend spring of 25 and had to apply again. honestly none of this makes sense to me why i would be an out of state student if i have been going there for two years already and i should’ve been somewhere in the system. I AM NOT A NEW STUDENT. With that being said since i was tagged as an OUT OF STATE student they charged me even more in tuition. They need to be better organized and be helpful. The questions i ask almost never get answered and being a college student i have a lot of questions about how things work because this is my first time handling all on my own and i need help but no one at otc seems to be able to tell me anything and they are very quick just to transfer you to someone else.
The Admissions team, Jan at Registrar, Front Desk, and advisors here are AMAZING. I found out I needed to have emergency surgery within a week And of course my insurance was canceled because I was not enrolled in school. To get my insurance back up and running, I needed to show proof that I was registered for classes. The amazing staff went above and beyond what they do to get me accepted, registered, and good to go for my insurance. I don’t know how to thank them enough. They are so much more friendlier, understanding, caring, and efficient than Savannah Tech.
Had a great experience. My friend Kimberly gave me a great haircut I would definitely recommend her. Everybody was very nice so definitely go back again period And once she graduates I'm going to follow her to wherever she goes to cut her hair. I'm very satisfied 😊 …
The campus is really nice and organized and the classes mostly have 30-40 people at most. What makes OTC so great is their instructors, their really good at teaching and being able to explain plus the teachers nice you access to the notes before they lecture.
I had little to no problems with the classes and teacher, but the school itself would never answer the phone. So getting into the classes was horrible, but if you can actually get in to a class then you good to go.
The medical teachers are very rude. Other students had told me about how rude they were, but I didn't listen. I got accepted into the program & it was awful. The teachers were rude & inconsiderate. There was so much time wasted. I ended up going to a different school that I love.
When you go to school here the first thing you may notice is the cleanliness and organization of the school the courtesy of the staff and the efficiency in which the student affairs office gets everything together for you. I have never been to a better maintained more organized school if you are looking for a carrier to get you started off with a job in a reasonable amount of time please don't neglect to stop by OTC. :0)
I love OTC I would not go anywhere else. I love that the school is always clean you have teachers who care and are there to help you if you need it. I also love the fact that the teachers are not there just to get a pay check.
The only experience I have had where all women of different race were equal is at OTC. We all come here to be better, we are all on the same level. All ages, religions and colors and we all manage to be respectful as we progress ourselves. It's a shame people cannot act this way outside these walls....
I currently attend school here. They have a lot of resources and staff to help you with any assistance from computer labs, print shop and the library to financial aid assistance, counseling and special services for individuals with disabilities. My experience here has definitely been a positive one!
