Beautiful campus for a walk to see those beautiful flowers and trees

Our summer visit was sublime. The campus, mostly empty for the summer, is so peaceful and quiet we could have taken a nap in one of the lovely Adirondack chairs strewn about the grounds. Trees of countless species adorn the property and there is certainly no shortage of flowers. Oh, and the building are quite majestic too.

I needed to take some pictures for a project I'm working on for school. I had never been to Swathmore College before. They have a really beautiful campus! I loved all the buildings. It's a great place to take a walk too.

Beautiful campus and not too far from civilization. We did a walking tour and ran into another family visiting from San Fran. They were visiting in anticipation of attending this Fall. They were some of the nicest people we've met and most definitely the type of students we'd like our kids to be around. The campus has a very friendly and welcoming feel to it and we love the Quaker (friends) undertones that the school still holds on to. It feels like a special place really. Having said that it is not easy to get accepted here, with a single digit acceptance rate.

Please calm down with the tacky college send off. Music? Sure ...fireworks? Go for it!!... but obnoxiously loud music for HOURS followed by more than 30 minutes of very loud tasteless fireworks at night is not a good look. It's a residential area, NOT down town philly. The culture of the university is going on the wrong direction.... please cut out the tacky choices. Bring back some clear and discretion.
