Living on campus has been a really positive experience because it makes it easier to connect with people and get involved in different organizations. Not to mention being so close to everything including classes, sporting events, and my peers. The community feels close-knit, which helps balance the intensity of nursing coursework with social life. I’ve enjoyed participating in student events and athletic games, and dining on campus makes it convenient to manage a busy schedule.
Wesleyan Academy for Lifelong Learning is a wonderful program.. we enjoy learning about so many topics from art to history, opera to food history. Come join us. New classes every month.
While Wesleyan College maybe a great place to go to school, it's work environment is toxic. The way that employees are treated is deplorable. Employees that do their job are rewarded with ridiculous policies and rules that do not translate into the real world of work. When you're a grown person that can be triggered by a single word, I suggest that you go back home and live with your parents and learn how to get a thicker skin because out here in the real world you have to suck it up and do your job oh but I forgot we now live in a society that prides itself on allowing weak minded individuals to run over us. Especially when you're supposed to be a grown man to run and tell on someone because they hurt your feelings would lead me to believe that you are not a man at all and that you are not capable of functioning in society.
Enjoying the 130th Annual Stunt 2025. This is a performance by students with traditions for over a century. All locals should stop by and engage with the students and staff. Music, Food, and festival type tents. All for 5 bucks. And where else can you hear a century old pipe organ played by Dr. McGee.
Beware. My childs experience there was horrible. Her professor Donovan was vindictive nasty and cruel. There are many schools better nearby with caring supportive professors. Not recommended Find another
Wesleyan dumped the equestrian program with last minute notice to the girls on that team. My daughter was on that team last year and I'm happy for her that she didn't go there this year, although I'm heartbroken for her prior teammates.
I was a non-traditional student at Wesleyan College. I worried at first about being in an environment with students so much younger than I was. But that was not the case at all. I fit in easily with the students and the professors treated me the same as well. I did not finish college in my 20's as most people do. But I remember thinking had I attended Wesleyan after high school, I would have completed my degree when I was younger. Wesleyan is a great school for women to get a great education, make connections for careers after graduation, and feel like you belong. A few years later, my daughter also graduated from Wesleyan and is now a nurse with more confidence and drive than I would ever have imangined for her.
As a non-traditional/Encore alumnae, I never envisioned how much confidence and hope Wesleyan would bring to me. The curriculum was hard. But, the empowerment I received from my professors/mentors, student body and the staff helped me believe in myself. I was able to grow as an individual, impact my community and my loved ones. Wesleyan is a place for any individual that’s looking for empowerment, growth and success. Wesleyan will be a part of you forever.
The years I spent at Wesleyan changed my life. I came onto campus unsure of who I was and where I saw myself in the future, and I left with a strong sense of self and purpose. Everyone I came into contact with wanted to see me thrive and would go out of their way to help me achieve my goals. I made lifelong friends on campus and found a lifelong hobby from my time on the Equestrian Team. My classes were engaging and challenged me to think outside the box, and I have carried countless tools I learned in the classroom and through research and internships to my professional life and continued studies. I still enjoy coming to campus to ride, enjoy the arboretum and athletic facilities, and engage with people and events on campus. I highly recommend a Wesleyan Education.
I was an international student at Wesleyan college from 2014-2018. When I look back at my time there, the most prominent aspect of my journey was my growth and how Wesleyan aided me through the process. I started as a shy, unsure freshman and graduated as a leader ready for the world. I was surrounded by women who were supportive, encouraging and always a shoulder to lean on. In addition, I was exposed to work-life from my work study opportunity at the Admissions office, leadership with my involvement in student organizations like SGA, and pretty much everything as a Resident Advisor. And I never struggled when it came to resources and extra support I needed from my professors to ensure I got to my goals.
