Rowan is amazing. My daughter is in her third year there. Her first two years she lived on campus. Her freshman year was rough ONLY because she had to live in Holly Pointe and the kids were constantly disruptive and pulling fire alarms. The University did not discipline enough in my opinion. Her next year in the Townhouses was AMAZING!!!! As for the college, I love it and my daughter loves it. There is so much there for them both academically and non-academically. My quiet shy daughter is doing something new every day on campus. There are themed nights and lots of clubs. Everyone has been so kind and inclusive. It is also very safe. Rowan has their own police department that also works together with the Glassboro Police department. Their presence is noticeable without looking like a police state. There are many shops and stores that the kids can utilize. The student center and recreation center are open early and close late. There are plenty of crosswalks that have flashing lights. I truly am happy my daughter chose to go to Rowan over the many other offers she had for colleges.
Date of first-time visit was Easter Sunday 2025. I toured the campus after photographing the Hollybush Mansion and I was very impressed. Since it was a holiday the only living things I saw were the ducks which was fine by me. The campus is divided by a road that leads into town.
Rowan is such a great college where every single one of your teachers are super helpful and involving! I would definitely recommend Rowan to everyone!
Went for a graduation and ended up hearing about the middle east and the genocide the Hamas terrorist put on there own people very sad for all innocent individuals.
To start off. Rowan’s commuter parking is HORRENDOUS. If you even want the CHANCE of getting a parking spot you have to get there from around 7am-9:30am at the latest. Any time after that it is like the hunger games. They really need to fix this some way like making more parking!!!! Secondly, Rowan’s advising office is full with some of the meanest people I have ever met coming from a student. I go in there asking for help to find a room on the third floor of Savitz Hall, and the lady just gave me attitude from the gecko, basically arguing with me. She really did not want to get out of her seat to show me, so she huffed and puffed and just pointed to an area on the third floor and said go there. Still not telling me where it is. Then, I finally find the room on my own, and I’m sitting in there. Here she comes with 4 students, that SHE brought all the way too. She just didn’t feel like helping me at all. This problem is not just about her, all of the advising people are terrible and don’t care for your well being. If you have questions, better luck figuring it out yourself!
The campus is amazing with lots of little shops and it provides an amazing education to all students. Also, it is open to the locals so college students can experience the area.
Great history department. Education department is also amazing. Parking, as others mentioned, is terrible.
The school is a nice university that allows local students a fairly affordable option. The reason I am rating 1 star is this university wants to expand and keeps pushing new programs and building yet fails to cover their existing areas that desperately need improvement. The main thing being the parking. You ask any student on campus about the parking and they will tell you how terrible it is. There are students waiting sometimes in their car for 15 minutes just waiting for a free parking spot to appear. In my opinion when you are paying any place thousands of dollars, the very basic thing they can do is provide you a parking spot. Sometimes students get parking tickets not to any fault of their own, but because there is literally no parking spot in the entire lot open... It has been this way for years and as the school keeps trying to expand its sad to see them overlook something so simple that would benefit all students. My review can be edited, and I will change it if this issue is resolved.
nice large campus. people seem happy here.
School is a perfect size. Everyone is really friendly and it feels like one big family. School is regionally accredited, becoming more academically prominent and successful every month. Also the school is getting major face lifts, with 2 brand new buildings being built (new college of business and engineering building), and the whole new circle and hotel (brand new downtown area)
