I rarely ever write reviews but this is worth my time if I can prevent someone else from having to go through unnecessary stress.I wish I could give this college specifically the Newton Campus zero star and get on with the review because it deserves ZERO. Let me just say that if you don't want to have to deal with a set of lazy people do not even apply. They can be very rude and unprofessional. I visited the Newton Campus building D as this is where they now host their offices for this campus. Upon entry I was told to enter my information and sign in. When I tell you the staff there enjoy the peace and quite and do not want to see you, believe me. I went in very calm and polite and the first lady was so very unprofessional. She did not seem like she wanted to help me. She was also very rude. I was explaining myself to her and told her that I do have an email that validated what I was saying she said, " I don't want to see that". I could go on about the whole interaction but I really don't want to. It was too stressful. The other lady whom I needed to see was also unhelpful and lazy. I left the campus with tears flowing down my face because of how unhelpful they were and their lack of professionalism. What is happening to people these days? Why don't they give jobs like these to people who actually want to work. Whomever is responsible for hiring these people selected the most lazy, unhelpful, and unprofessional people that I have ever came across. This campus was never the best back in the days but it was way better than it is now- the employees work ethics have really deteriorated. None of whom I saw seemed as if they wanted to do any work for the day. In my humble opinion, they are all there just collecting free money. PLEASE RUN FROM THIS CAMPUS! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!
This college along with any other college on the universe is a good and decent place to attend. I found absolutely no issue with the staff, administration, faculty or anyone. Oh there was a situation where i was notified by the professor i had to see the bursar. This turned out to be MY fault because of my financial institution. The reason why they act like they do is because every question asked can be answered if the person took the time to read. There is documentation along with a website to review your account, and see your class schedule. As well as see which classes you can and cannot take. At least 90% of the classes have a prerequisite. You may not be eligible to take certain classes until you have completed other. And no you may not receive your diploma or certificate until your account is zero. So stop asking. And not certain classes are not offered every semester because that is the schedule available, Period.
Georgia Piedmont Technical college started off ok when I was a dual enrollment student. I have recently came back to finish my taking some prerequisites that I need to get into PA school. My experience has been terrible. I cannot get in contact with anybody, they say they are going to do something and don’t, when you call back to follow-up on any of your concerns it’s a dead end. Terrible customer service and they act as if they do not care about your education. I just want to finish my last class so I can apply to PA school. I have left several voicemails and I even have came up to the campus I work from 8am to 5pm and have called out of work and requested to come in late just to go up the the school to be led no where and still with my issues unsolved. Nobody knows where any department is at, nobody knows who is over what. Somebody is always “not here yet” “on lunch break” you can never get to who you need to get to. it is very unorganized and their student’s education are not their priorities
Been waiting for 2 year's to hear back from the school or admissions and no one has contacted me. The online website is a robot and you can not talk to anyone. At this point I give up and will apply for another college.
Admissions lady acts like she can’t answer simple questions to stuff she knows the answers to. Keeps repeating her self, telling me to hit up the advisor for the nursing program when they don’t respond to emails or have no direct number. Just pushing me away from trying to become a student here. Doing the most.
I've never met a more unfriendly staff of admin employees. They were not assisting anyone, and yet still seemed uninterested and even annoyed by my presence. That's amajor red flag, for that reason, I'll start the enrolment procees at a different school. Very disappointing!
I have been calling for weeks with no one available. I have never had to deal with this from any college where no one calls backs or not answer. This is very unprofessional. It’s almost like they don’t care about people trying to further their education.
Good luck ever getting in touch with anyone from this school 😭😭 I had been trying to get in touch with the registrar's office and graduation specialist for WEEKS. No one answers emails, or phone calls. …
Water has been leaking in the cosmetology classrooms since the last 2 years. Black mold in the ceiling. Deplorable conditions. Not safe at all.
Horrible Design professor, horrible teachers, horrible Design Director Ms.Voltolin who grades harshly and is a hypocrite!! I was devastated that my grade fell at the end of the semester and she would tell students to find another career if you can't handle the Design industry!! Even at the last second this college had delayed my certificate and took an extra month to approve my certificate that should have been approved a month ago!! This is the worst college in my life!! Unorganized and unprofessional also I feel some teachers and staff are rude and racist!! I got an 89 on my final essay in English 1010 couldn't even bother to add a point!! Stay away from the Design department and this College in general!! They will ruin your life!!
