Disorganized. Son had a dual enrollment class that he didn’t get a book for until 3 weeks after the class started. It was blamed on the book distributor but they had his classes wrong the day before classes started even though I had it in writing what he was supposed to be scheduled for. The professor wanted my son to catch up on 3 weeks of work while doing other classes and having a job and football and at one point accused him of just not participating or doing the class and not communicating when my son had tons of emails to show otherwise. He did get an apology because the professor had him “confused with another Gavin in the class.”They unfortunately still got paid for the class when we opted to withdraw from the class and my son now cannot take that class as we transferred after all the issues. Wouldn’t recommend.
On campus 02.11.24 for Point vs Keiser Men's Lacrosse Parent group of 20+ from Florida 10+ hours to listen to the student section taunt our players for 2 hours and calling them by name. This is "chirping" culture on your campus is embarrassing. These students were not their to watch the game or cheer on your boys, who played great by the way. They were only there to disrupt, antagonize, cheer when our guys got hurt and generally play disrupter. We actually sat next to some locals that came to watch their first collegiate lacrosse game and they were made very uncomfortable by the behavior of your students. I would say this was much like Reinhardt. It's terrible, no one wants to go to their field, never mind stay in town, pay for hotels, food, entertainment. You are supposed to be hosting, maybe we do that different in Florida but this was disgusting and I've been playing, coaching and spectating lacrosse for 30 years. Additionally we had to engage your campus security in the 1st quarter, he spoke to the students and then left the entire athletic facility and did not return until the end of the game. No onsite security, ambulance, administration, leadership. AD out of town Assistant AD - "I can't do anything about it" Guys in the press box we're enjoying it and taking no leadership for the student section we were told "that's a security" problme. If this is the environment you're fostering it's sad. This is what I will remember about our visit. Thanks 1 star.
My 1 star rating is not just because I have encountered countless issues, but rather, because addressing issues with Point is nearly impossible. There is only one receptionist that works for Point and every department I’ve been transferred to has never answered. Additionally, in my 2 years with point, I have only received one call back from voicemails left with the different departments of the school. I wouldn’t recommend Point to anyone, and wouldn’t go back to Point even if I had a full-ride scholarship.
I am a student here and I had over $200 stolen out of my dorm because housing felt it necessary to change my locks with no notification before doing so and leaving the door unlocked. After reporting it to security they said it was my fault for the theft and they could do nothing about it. School is also extremely unorganized when it comes to credits and there is a reason why so few students graduate from school and transfer by their sophomore year.
I have enjoyed my two years at Point immensely. The administrative staff and the instructors are superb! The learning experience has been amazing and I would not change this journey for.anything in this world. I have no doubt that God is directing my path and Point IS the place!!!
I played this course on Saturday and it was in excellent shape. The greens were much better. The Fareways was good and the staff was great.
Nothing but completely unorganized in everything they do. They don't care about their students or what is best for them to succeed. Housing is a joke when you pay for a two bedroom apartment for 4 students and end up with 6. It isn't a priority for the school to keep up maintenance on these apartments that were made for four people not six.
DO NOT attend if you have a learning disability. You will not receive accommodations as promised. The Audio books they have were absolutely horrendous, Inaudible. I was told I should find a larger institution that could properly accommodate me.
A wonderful University that's still small enough to give you a family feel with Christian morals. Every student minors in Biblical Studies. Feel in 💘 with the school the first time we visited, back in November. …
I live in the same neighbor hood where they practice their band.. And they are very disrespectful, my pictures on my walls vibrate they are so loud.. Its all day long... How can they just keep doing this , i mean dont we have some right also..
