I would say the Dean of Students aka I believe is (Jill)of the past when I went there which was not long ago was very rude and didn't handle racism at the level in which it should be and neither did the vice president. Years 2021-2022.. Even when I sent an email it was like slapping a band aid on a problem that in society NEVER GOES away! The dean of students never acknowledge blacks and what they say that's true! The blonde haired female that works in office that deals with billing, scholarships etc is racist too has a bad attitude but no ones ever firing her because she can do no wrong! NEWSFLASH SHE'S MEAN AND WRONG!
Been here two times on a class trip. Amazing facility
Service is always timely and good by the staff. Was going to attend BUT they didn’t accept certain credits from other institutions even if they were accredited. Tuition is reasonable, but I know of toooo many friends who never finished their education here either because the teacher was unreasonable or too many prerequisite classes that didn’t count towards a degree. Should work on more efficient paths to graduate without taking so many unnecessary courses if you didn’t score high on certain parts of the ACT.
Excellent courses, but always choose in-person, if you can. The online courses are good, but it is not as effective as in-person. That is how one is guaranteed to learn.
Heartland has provided an affordable option for community learners, college summer school, associate's seekers, people shifting careers, continuing ed, and so much more. Teachers often come from the other local universities or professionals in their fields. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. If you have any questions, I would definitely recommend going in to see an adviser. Great credit hour value for transfers.
I toured here this morning, and I’ve never been more excited to attend a Community College until now! 10/10 recommend! I hope to apply for Spring semester!
Heartland is an awesome community college! The classes are pretty small for the most part which is helpful because getting one on one help from professors is easier. Overall I really liked going to Heartland, and would recommend anyone looking to save a little money before transferring to a four year to check out Heartland.
I went to Heartland for English Learning Program in last summer. Teachers were polite and always eager to help. I had fun and learnt a lot. Ohh.. Did I forget to mention, classes were free. :) They have a good campus and good facilities.
Their FESL course is excellent for English beginners. Really appreciate efforts staff is taking for students. Thank you Heartland college and staff
