Taylor University

Taylor has a beautiful campus with a kind atmosphere. The grounds seem very well taken care of and intentionally worked on and developed. The building placement does not seem to be so as much, which is a factor in dropping the score as well as friendliness. People are kind to newcomers, but there does feel to be an air of exclusivity. Don't really expect anyone to smile at you while on a walk unless you are with someone they know or you had previously met. The events they put on, especially for students, are amazing. The time, effort, and intentionality that seems to be put in them is very evident in their excellence. The cafeteria food is good, especially compared to other universities. My chapel experience as a guest was pretty good, aside from the student introducing the speaker making a short bus joke. Overall, Taylor University is a beautiful place for students to get connected, involved, and find community. It is not necessarily a place for the community unless there is prior Taylor affiliation.

We attended a football game. Beautiful and clean campus, friendly and helpful student body. They kindly accommodated those in our group with mobility issues. Clean bathrooms! Concession stand could use a couple extra sets of hands during events.

The best way to describe Taylor U is 🔥. From what I could see, the Coaching Staff, the Teaching Staff, and the Players are all unashamedly open about their faith, and dare I say on fire for Jesus Christ. There is definitely something special happening at Taylor and we were truly blessed by our visit. Thank you and may God continue to Bless Taylor U!

Incredible community of people.. faculty, staff, and students.. which forms students to live well in the world by nurturing a sincere love for Jesus, engendering a holistic biblical worldview, and tactfully addressing issues in culture from an intellectually engaging posture. I had an amazing experience as a student!

Just a heads up for anyone considering their basketball recruiting camp. The coaches reached out to our son with an invite to attend camp. We have been to a lot of camps, and never attended a camp like this. It was obvious attendance wasn’t capped. My guess over 100 players spread among 4 gyms (3 of which were a distance from the main gym and not in the viewing area of the head coach). The players weren’t numbered so there was no way for the coaches to know who was who or any info about them like previous camps we have attended. The coaches were talking to other people almost the entire camp and not really engaged watching. Our son only received 10 minutes in front of the head coach during a 4 hour camp. It appeared they already had their recruits even though they said they had 3-4 spots open. At $95 a player, it definitely felt like a money grab, nothing more. I would expect better from a Christian university. It’s disappointing because it’s a beautiful campus and seems to have a lot to offer.

My sister spend 4 years of college here. In 2017, I visited Taylor on a family weekend. We were at an event, it suddenly began pouring rain. Everyone went in panic, and running to shelter. My sandal slid off while I was running across the street, I got hit by somebody riding a bike. Head to pavement, I had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. Many girls on my sisters dorm floor were praying for me, they wrote me letters. I never would have expected such love from strangers. I will forever remember that selfless act.

Honestly. This school is one the family and the student will enjoy and find a home. It's a friendly environment.

Beautiful collage. My granddaughter just graduated from there. Wonderful Christian school.

If you are thinking of applying...do it. After one semester my daughter is very happy with the quality of the education and friends she is making. Top!
