This looks like a great college! All the young people there were so helpful, happy, and uplifting!

My 23 year old daughter got her 2 year in Dance from here after beginning at Iowa Central and experiencing extreme racism. While Barton wasn't very diverse, everyone at Barton was kind, welcoming, and inclusive. When we'd visit we'd get an overwhelming sense of community and acceptance. This school was simply amazing and I wish they had an Ultrasound Tech program so I could send my 17 year old there next year! It will definitely be one of the schools we look at when it's time for my 3 youngest to go to college. 💕

I wish I could give a better review but I would be lying. I had many, many issues while going to this school and using my Gi bill only made it more difficult. Lots of the teachers are unresponsive for days-weeks and punish you for waiting on clarification for course work. It also takes them 3-4 weeks to post grades making it very hard to stay enrolled in classes. It would take months for them to verify I was attending and to send the info to the VA. They had me take classes that were not "certified online classes" so to graduate I had to pay $510. They claim to support veterans but they are not a true yellow ribbon school and they do not support veterans as they claim.

Absolutely worst school ever! They DO NOT take care of veterans as they claim. It was a complete set-up from the beginning. I enrolled for a class and was told from the school that everything with my Post 9-11 GI bill was fine. AFTER the last day for no-payment withdrawal I was then contacted to be told it wasn’t okay and that I had to pay them 450.00. I was going along with the class like everything was okay only to find out “after the fact” that it wasn’t and since I had already “started” the class there was nothing they can do. Now I’m stuck with a 450.00 debt to them and everyone is saying there is absolutely nothing they can do.

Absolutely AWFUL!! The curriculum is very poorly thought out, the assignments for some of the classes have nothing at all to do with the career you are seeking; a complete waste of time. The instructors (most of them) are terrible about communication. You will not receive a response to 7 out of 10 emails that you send with questions or comments. I am truly stunned by just how disorganized their online programs are. A full semester of time and money have been completely wasted at this institution. I will now have to start all over again somewhere else, but that is better than attempting to continue on with this place for another year or two. Just terrible! If you are considering Barton....DON'T! Please, for your sake, keep searching and pass on going here.

My wife and I had planned on taking advantage of the free tuition for our daughter, a military dépendant. The website claims that dépendants of active duty, guard, and reserve are eligible for free tuition. After choosing Barton and planning on taking advantage of the benefit, we found that it doesn’t exist. I’ve been deployed 3 times but we don’t qualify. Barton, do the right thing, have some integrity, support the guard and reserve or take it off of your website. This should never be allowed to happen. Not to service members and their dépendants. Shame on this institution.

Expensive school, charges you extra for online classes; for "canvas" system they have but almost none of the teachers even use it. They end up having you go onto other sites which charge you 100+ dollars for programs they do like. Most classes I took I was charged more in books and online programs than the tuition even costed.

I was there for a training session. Very nice facility. I have also done work at this facility, staff are always courteous and professional at their responsibilities.

It was a very cool place to visit. The only problem was that it is kind of I'm the middle of nowhere, but everything else was quite nice.
