It is a medium-term university, some of its facilities look old and abandoned compared to others that appear to be more modern and balanced in terms of architectural design. The rooms leave a lot to be desired. It's an option if you live nearby otherwise look for another University

Not a good school at all. A lot of on campus violence and lack of care for living conditions. Moldy AC vents in dorm rooms and staff is very rude and unpleasant to get help from. Teachers use outdated curriculum from years ago to teach and don't expect students to pass or attend the class. They take additional money from you mid semester for unknown or new fees. Bad representation of a HBCU, find somewhere else to go.

This is a great school. Full of history, southern charm and standards. My daughter made the right choice. Small but mighty.

Very nice HBCU. Small market with great potential and community support.

The worst HBCU in history. Unorganized, lacks professionalism dorms molded and filthy, microwave looks like it’s been there for 10 years and never cleaned in the 10 years. Just nasty and a trash school. They do not help students or prior students with their needs as well.

As a current adult student, I am truly blessed to be a part of this school. Small class sizes, beautiful campus, great social work program, and caring professors.

My experience was horrible, wish I could zero stars. I was helping my children move out and had a hard time even getting on campus due to the security guard barely speaking any English. BOTH of my kid's BRAND NEW refrigerators had been taken out of their rooms and replaced with ones barely big enough to fit a few bottles of water in. So, they were stolen. This place is ridiculous.

Virginia Union University is the best HBCU period!!!The faculty and staff are all so very supportive and resourceful in furthering your skill sets; this school has helped me land some pretty impressive internships and national conferences.

Quite a unique Historical University in Richmond VA. Impressive presence, structures, grounds, minds, etc. Thanks to the natives that first introduced me to VUU. Proud to have volunteered with the UNCF and afforded the opportunity to see VUU listed as one of the HBCUs. Renovations to restore some of the buildings is highly recommended. May The Spirit Of The Lord Be With You. Note: The Security Guard was on high / professional alert. Very thorough and very accommodating.

I attended Virginia Union University from 1960 to 1964 when I graduated. I have always been proud of the education that I received at Union. I have found Unionites at work, at church, and when I have traveled on vacation. I am a member of …

I should've taken in the HONEST reviews about this college. Disappointed. I have to see about getting my son into a different college because this is NOT the best place. So many issues.

This school is the worst I wish I would’ve did research before attending. They never answer the phone and when you arrive in person, your required to fill out a form and wait. It’s our own people not helping our people! Please look elsewhere before thinking of this school.

it is a good school and the professors are great plus all the buildings are close together and there are a lot of people here that are willing to help students succeed

Unorganized, teachers late to class, and the worst HBCU from classes to sports.
