West Kentucky Community and Technical College

My son attends West Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah Kentucky My son is a student athlete as a member of the West Kentucky Stars basketball team . As a family we love everything the the school offers and it’s just over an hr to get to the basketball games from Southern Illinois .The school is easily found just off the Paducah exit .

This place has been more than pivotal in helping me build my foundation. The programs they offer are not just for students but the community as well! Thanks to the help of Chef Williams Chef Farrell, Juanita & Chase! Highest amount of Gratitude. They’ve show me they all care. And have ALL equally made me feel that my success was possible!

The library is so nice. Everyone who works here is super nice. My son has an issue with his classes and they were very helpful also with financial aide

Be aware that WKCTC makes all students take FYE 105 even though it is not required for AAS students and is not a degree requirement. This is a huge money maker for WKCTC and they offer this class to high school students in order to count them in their enrollment to make it sound like they have more students for awards, etc. This is a scam! My FYE teacher required a 10 page plus paper and closed the class 2 weeks early. My experience at Murray State was like daylight and dark from WKCTC. Also, I was locked out of my online blackboard class during my finals week one semester and I tried to talk to someone on campus and they just kept giving me the run around sending me to a company that is not associated with KCTCS who did not know what they were doing. All I needed was to have my password changed and it took multiple days causing me to almost miss my final. Finally, my math class was nothing more than Mymath lab. I am not even sure why they had a teacher teaching the class. My guess is that they pay their instructors so little that they cannot find proper instructors. Several of my instructors were great, but one did not teach me anything and was constantly on a smoke break. Again, my time at MSU was a much better experience even though it was much more expensive. It is definitely worth it!

The college was great, the ladies that helped me take my test in adult education was super nice n really cared helping me with everything I needed. Very special ladies.

Went to University of Louisville Dental practice they were extremely nice people and are gonna help me fix my teeth. So grateful to find a place close that accepts Medicaid. So for any adults who have had trouble in dealing with that check them out and give them a chance. I think they might surprise you.

The college graciously offers a room for AARP Tax Aide training for two weeks. The room and visual aides are so much appreciated! It allows us to teach and stay socially distanced.

Formally Paducah Community College and before that Paducah Junior College West Kentucky Community and Technical College is a community college with two and four year degrees in multiple fields of study and applied sciences. Fully; accredited, licensed, bonded and insured WKCTC will get you to and through any applied degree at the pace that you want to achieve it in. Large enough to feel like you can do and be whatsoever you want in life but small enough to feel like you or your young adult child isn't far from home. Give WKCTC a long, hard and thought-provoking look for all your educational needs. The future begins here!

Suspended for a semester just to find out suspended for 2 not 1without notice. Especially someone with a learning disability. I get emails stating that I'm still eligible for financial aid. How is that when I'm suspended. Completed 50 something hours already. Still can't go for the fall semester what a waste of my time and my family's time.
