Just finished MA Public History program there, the school is so awesome! Love the private living space at Chaminade Hall, nicest instructors and program director, and I met classmates that turned into long time friends! Highly Recommend!
It’s a dump. The administration, additionally, is useless and could care less about communicating with the public and giving students the very best possible experience with high-level faculty. Next!
It was a good school with descent curriculum. Unfortunately the students started getting difficult and started to refuse to pay me for doing their homework for them. It’s incredibly difficult to find time to do it themselves or they didn’t understand the assignments without a teacher by their side. It was nice to hear one of the students tell me that the teacher requested to keep one of the assignments I did for her and would be used for future classes which I took as a complement ❤️ unfortunately I no longer provide those services for students but it was fun at the time and I do suggest going there. Maybe one day I’ll get back into doing homework for students at a small fee later down the road.
Attended 2005-2008. Alpha Phi New Member Educator. A𝚽❤! Great school. It's crazy after living in Marian my freshman year and then Treadaway my sophomore year (where you can touch both sides of the wall at the same time) and going back and seeing what kind of dorms the kids are staying in now. Must be nice!!! I can't believe we all accepted that as normal back then.... Their "nursing program" was interesting. They advertised it as a joint program but you're basically doing your prereqs at St. Mary's and then you need to apply and get accepted to UTHSCSA for nursing school. Some of the prereqs it would be me and just one other person, which was great for us, but the rest of the classes, some of the professors referred to everyone as premed students which wasn't applicable to all of us and annoying. All in all, fun and interesting experience.
For future parents, students and visitors, I attended a function on campus dated 25 Feb 2024, if there is a hit and run incident, not all of the parking areas to include housing areas have cameras especially around parking area G. After a week and multiple calls, I was finally given information by Officer Badge Number 409 that this area is not the only areas un-camera. Sadly, the areas outside St. Mary is not so great then again, the cameras and security personal needs more assistance to safeguard people and property. I will not be going back nor allow my children to apply to St. Mary. Security should be paramount more so when someone parks next to a security camera. My opinion is that the camera wasn't working and getting the run-around is the normal P.C. for St. Mary unless you have problems near or around the Law Schools and housing per other badged officers not to mention their number on open forum. WARNING, do not park near or around parking area G, there are dead spots or the cameras do not work. Take care, be safe and God Bless.
Very nice facility. It's pretty awesome that it's getting a nice little makeover, too.
I attended St. Mary's for 3 years and left with a Bachelor's of a Arts & a teaching credential. I found it to be an excellent school, as have many friends. A number of my former public school students went on to a graduate from St. Mary's. I was impressed by its emphasis on being a Catholic institution. That was very important to me.
Truly a place where potential undergraduates may feel at home with other like-minded, community-focused leaders; Hispanic or not, Christian or not - all are welcome, respected and valued.
Beautiful campus. I was a student here from 2001-2003. Amazing faculty, and a wonderful place to learn and grow 😊 …
It's a small area compared to other larger venues in the city but the "Energy" from watching the teams compete is exciting to watch. More people should come out and support the St Mary's Rattler Athletes!
