I attended their Prison Education Program, while at Northpoint Training Center. All of their materials push there woke one-sided agenda. Upon release from prison, I attempted to contact the school to obtain my official degree. Nobody answers. I went online and requested a transcript be sent to my new college, and all they did was take my money! It's a worthless school, just out to make free money from people. They basically stole my Pell funds because they will not provide me a copy of my degree. Update: I have spoken with three staff members at Simmons, they have assisted me with what I needed. The have extended apologies for the delays, and explained that there was some staff turnover, and internal system/communication errors.

ONE OF OUR CITY BEST PRIVATE BLACK COLLEGES, IS TAKING APPLICATION FOR FOR THEIR SPRING SEMESTER. LIKE SEVERAL OTHER COLLEGE'S IN OUR AREA, THEY ARE OFFERING A TUITION FREE DEGREES, ONE IS A 4yr BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK, AND A GUARANTEED JOB, AFTER YOUR GRADUATION, THEY WILL BE WORKING WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY , CONTACT THE SCHOOL FOR MORE INFORMATION. YOUR SCHOOL AND GRADES, ARE SOMETIMES WHAT LAUNCHES YOUR CAREER, SO DON'T THINK YOU CAN'T DO THIS TRY,

I wish Simmons cared as much about its employees and the quality of education it delivers than it does its public image. The college loves press conferences and yet, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing internally. Most classes are taught by underpaid adjuncts and the staff have no accountability. You can do next to nothing and keep a job. If you complain, they'll find ways to deflect legit criticism. People get jobs here because they're affiliated with St. Stephens or they're related to administrators. The people who run the school and the people who serve students directly are 2 different groups of people. Don't believe the image the college portrays to the media - just look at abysmal graduation rate. The much-touted HBCU experience is no substitute for a quality education - something the current leadership doesn't get.

Possessing resolute administrators, faculty, staff, students, and strategic partners -- Simmons College of Kentucky is poised to flourish. The storied history of Simmons will enrich the lives of many, and for generations to come just as it has for generations past.
