I had a great experience while visiting this school, extremely kind and very helpful staff; exceptional warmth and a great place to learn.
Daughter is starting school here today. Love everything about it so far. Everyone is so helpful and nice.
I believe this could be the best University to Grad from, my journey was impeccably amazing with the syllabus and the professor and staff of this school is marvellous I'm proud to be called as a blue raider All thanks to the Creator and my family specially my friends who helped me complete this Achievement with joy and happiness.
As a parent, I want my kids to have an awesome experience but also have fun and BE SAFE! Well, I couldn’t be more thrilled of my son’s choice to attend Lindsey Wilson College this Fall! Madison Bryant - has successfully done her job when recruiting my son to LWC! From the beginning she has been an excellent representative of LWC with her kind and fun personality, really opening up and sharing her love for LWC from her days as a student. Reilly came home from school one day stating he filled out an info form because the girl seemed nice. Then the hand written notes kept coming and Reilly’s name was always spelt correctly; that’s an important detail where many other colleges failed. Madison even started the process of roommate assignments asking questions to find a roommate to match with Reilly. He has worked hard to get to where he is now and I am so thrilled he found a college that really resonated with him. Thank you Madison you are a key reason Reilly chose Lindsey Wilson College. Go Raiders! Bradley Karnes - went above and beyond by airing my tire up and informed me it wasn’t going to hold air. He the offered to change my tire and put on a spare! Definitely makes me feel like safety is a top priority for LWC! The entire staff was kind, friendly and helpful during our visit! Our Tour Guide, said friendly hellos, greetings said by name to each other is really welcoming and homey feeling! #classof2025 #LWCRaiders
We attended a team basketball camp, scrimmages really, but it was good for the girls to play other teams
Dropped off our Freshman kiddo last week (Aug 2023) & learned a few good things ... 1) If arriving early to campus (many athletes do), there's not much guidance on where to go/how to start. So..... - 1st: Admin Bldg (LR McDonald), 3rd floor & get Student ID. - 2nd: get room key (housing info on MyLWC Portal) at Residence Life Offices (small round-hut-bldg just down from water tower). - if you kid needs a sport physical, the Campus Nurse does these at the Biggers Center, her email is on LWC Site. 2) Our son met his RA & he was really great. Important - it's a DRY campus & NO smoking. EITHER ONE can get you ejected from your sport-team (not sure about academically, but they are REALLY strict about these rules).....some kids last year tested this & were immediately excused from their teams. 3) In most girls dorms, RA will get male visitors ID upon arrival & return it only when they leave (no overnight guests/boys after visiting hours). Same visiting hours with boys, but don't think they check/get ID's like girls dorm? 4) Rooms are small! They have a mattress, bedframe, desk & dresser (3-drawer) & a short (4-foot?) closet bar/pole & a shelf above. Walls (in his) were cream painted cinder block. - Bring plastic bins for under-bed storage, you can fit 3 x 66-qt (you could also use plastic drawers, but our son wanted airtight bins, which is smart in a male athletes dorm!). - *bed was a twin NOT twin XL* (Horton Hall Freshm.Dorm) **bring a mattress encasement unless you don't care about germs at all** We also brought a mattress foam topper. - you mite want an office chair, the chair they provide is metal folding chair type. - there is room for a mini-fridge & microwave, we also brought a Keurig AND an air purifier (recommended by his Advisor). We also brought a smaller air-tight bin (20 qt?) to keep food items in, these buildings are older & probably have critters! -**bring at least one surge-protector that is 10-ft long, bring TWO if you bring refer/microwave....the dorms don't have many plugs & they are old. We found a great "surge-bar" at WMart with 6-8 plugs spaced apart & had a 10-ft cord. Perfect for all small appliances to plug into. Then we had a 2nd one for his PC equipment. BE SURE to get NEW surge protector strips - this area gets brown outs & surges & it will kill electronics QUICK. Surge Protectors only last about 1-2 years! - a nice bonus is to get them a LifeStraw Pitcher or Bottle - Horton Hall, Laundry (get them laundry pods!) was on 1st floor & bathrooms (each floor) are community bathrooms, so shower shoes & a bath-caddy are def helpful! 5) Freshman do NOT need a car! Everything on campus is SUPER close. Our son found friends within 24 hours he could catch a ride to WalMart with for incidentals. So while it might be nice for them to have it, it's certainly not "needed". Hope this helps!
Very nice campus my sons first year go raiders
I sure hope this place has changed its ways because when I applied here at their Midway location, they were disorganized, during my interview, a very rude lady busted into the room and demanded to read my writing sample, took one look, dismissed me, and my rejection letter was in my mailbox 2 days later. For what it is worth, I am finishing my 4th year of my 2nd Masters degree this year. I currently work with children, teach art and music, and with any luck, get to adjunct to teach English and Creative Writing in addision to the subbing I already do. This place temporarily crushed my dreams but fortunately I found a competitor school who not only got my money (unlike Lindsey Wilson) but saw my potential. Im currently supporting myself in an area I love while doing what I love. If you are considering applying here, I urge you to look elsewhere. This place has weird cult vibes that even a child could pick up on. Run.
I'm currently a master's student and my experience has been outstanding. The knowledgeable and supportive faculty, excellent facilities, and diverse, inclusive community make it an ideal place for higher education. Highly recommend!
Small but beautiful campus. The staff at the library and admin buildings are very helpful
