Do not attend GRCC for the Construction Electrical program. They do not partner with local Electrical companies, and they do not assist in placing you with a company. I completed the program 2 years ago and still have not received an Apprenticeship. None of my classmates have got Apprenticeship jobs either.

They intentionally scheduled my fiancées classes in a way that she would not receive the financial aid that was desperately needed. Avoid this place like the plague. Go to any other college/University.

I have been incredibly disappointed at the communication from GRCC. I'm set to start next month and have reached out to financial aid 5 days ago, and resent my email 2 days ago and can't get a response. When tuition is due in a few days, this is very frustrating. I've also emailed the academic advisor a few days ago and got no response. I work full time and don't have time to deal with the lack of communication. Please do better.

I have been coming to GRCC for over a decade trying to finish my Associates in Business. I finally got it last month and I have nothing but good things to say about this college. I had a great experience, they are very helpful, the website is easy and the professors are beyond phenomenal. This is a great place to get a degree and then move on to the big colleges. 😊

I took 75 credits at GRCC. Highly valued my time there; great education. Fast forward, my stepson who had a payment plan, where his debit card expired, but paid via bank account on the same day his payment was required to be made ( GRCC received their money), was dropped from two classes over non-payment when financial services admitted it was a mistake. And now Shanna Goff can’t allow him in her class. The left hand doesn’t speak tot he right. What a shame. Grcc should care about educating. Not dropping (when fully paid).

Absolute nightmare!!! Curriculum was BS!!! We did class work, a classroom work book, text book work, and online homework(which literally took an entire week to do if you are normal with a job and a life)!!! When it came time for a test the instructor couldn’t tell you which to study from as there was so much material and it was scattered everywhere! Only a handful of people even made passing grades!! Waste of my time and my money! Not to mention a paper back book with papers you tear out for class (that we hardly ever used) was $240.00 non-refundable after the instructor said wish we didn’t buy it because we won’t be using it!!! But it was listed as a course requirement! And my “online class” was NOT online which I wasn’t told until I went to the main office to find out why I couldn’t access my class on the portal then I had to change my plans and attend a semester of class that they offered down town that was labeled online. This school does offer some good things but it’s a money pit. Not to mention pay to park everyday or use your raider card to park in offered parking that charges you hundreds for a Semester!!! And the RN program has a 5 year waiting list so you just have to take courses that apply to it and hope you may one day get in the program 🤨

The Nursing program is a scam. They will encourage students to keep taking more classes which is useless. I was on the wait list for 7.5 years. I am now attending CSU. GRCC gave me the run around. They overcharged me for courses that are no longer part of their new updated curriculum. This school does not care about the success of others. I could have received my degree in my native country Mexico in lesser time.

I came here after going to a local university... and I was so surprised that some of the professors were actually more competent and better than some of the professors that I paid $18,000 a year to listen to. I should've gone here before going to university. Highly recommend

This school is accepting and challenging. I feel that my time here was purposeful and that the credits I received helped me out so much to advance my education. While not all teachers are great you can see that efforts are being made to help everyone who goes here have the best experience they can and get a great education. The facilities are dated but they are upgrading little by little.

Ferris State University has a satellite location here which I am currently attending through. But I did attend as a student to GRCC for prerequisites to my program and I would highly recommend this community college as long as you know what field you're going into. I.E., medical, financial etc. If you don't at least have that or know the specific program you're going into/transferring to then you should take some career testing and/or some jobs before attending to find your interests.
