rewrite: My daughter is very happy with it (Honors College). It is challenging but worth it. My daughter is thoroughly enjoying her experience in the Honors College. Although it presents challenges, she finds it rewarding and worthwhile. The rigorous academic environment and exclusive opportunities seem to be aligning well with her goals and aspirations.

Freshman dorm is very nice! Advisors are super helpful. Nothing but positive things to say about Rutgers and the Honors College.

It is a wonderful place to study and to learn. The idea of this college is something that is to inspire to be. A wonderful place that seems to be fostering growth and trust.

Admission to the Honors College is not determined by academic standing, SAT/ACT scores, or extracurriculars/community service. Instead, out-of-state applicants are highly favored over over in-state applicants, as are those who check certain boxes pertaining to specific, non-academic-related criteria that I won’t list here (visit the college and see for yourself.) All very predicktable, but nonetheless a big fat shame for the kids who deserve to be in the program but are denied admission because RU is attempting to align itself with the Ivies when, in fact, it’s just a big state school in a high-crime location with dilapidated dorms and grotesquely overpaid athletic coaches.

The education SUCKED and I wouldn't trust anyone who went to the honors college! But people see how "nice" the college looks and make their decisions based on that, or perhaps make the mistake of saying this is a "good" college because it's a large state college.
