The worst school ever. Canceled day1CPT program overnight at the beginning of semester leaving nightmare to hundreds of students with no choice but leaving the country and the decision was supposed to be released one month in advance. And the tuition was NOT REFUNDABLE which is probably why they are holding the news. Worst International student service as well. This lady Alison Jackson, so arrogant, so rude, never answer your question directly always using either robotic or sarcastic tone... I wonder whether she ever went to school for an education. Actually I won't be surprised if she graduated from SPU. So funny that is the service you get after paying 20k a year. PLEASE choose other school.

Like with most colleges and universities, you need to do your research BEFORE deciding where you want to apply. Don’t take their brochures at face value; if on a weekday tour of any school, try to walk around after the tour and see if you can find students in the major you want to study and ask for their honest opinions. Make arrangements with the departments to shadow freshmen level, mid level, and advanced classes to see what it’s like. Don’t just look at the tuition price and say “too expensive, I’m going elsewhere” or “too cheap, classes are probably poor quality”. Honestly, I think Saint Peters is a solid mid level school in terms of programs. I started with a major and minor in two departments that I ultimately switched to a major and minor in two other departments, but between those four departments one thing was common between them; there was opportunity in each. The science majors have the opportunity to do big or small research projects, art/theater majors have the opportunity to do performances, education majors have opportunities to TA at area schools, so on and so forth for most majors. A lot of schools will boast about students having opportunities, but what Saint Peter’s has is the ability to push a larger volume of students into obtaining those opportunities. Jersey City is a large city minutes away from NYC; most motivated students won’t struggle to find large or small internship roles as long as they don’t suffer from a fear of missing out on hypothetical “better internships”. Unfortunately no school is exempt from some negative aspects. While the school has a lot of great professors you’d love to study under, just like any other school it does have its fair share of ones you don’t want as your advisor or professor. Other than that, most of my other complaints would revolve around the quality of the dorms during the time I attended. Dealing with the billing department can also be a pain (even if they are the ones who owe you money). All in all this school won’t radically change the lives of every student for the better and put everyone on the path to becoming billionaires, but it’s programs are solid and reliable and will get you the foundation you need to have a long career in your field. And although I’m not a Christian, I do appreciate that they try to instill into their students a sense of giving back and helping others rise above.

Thank god I do not go to this school because I hear horrible things from all of the students about attending this school. The guest policy, visiting the dorms, is INSANELY strict. I think it is easier to visit someone in jail than visiting someone in a dorm. The “security officers” are very rude and loud, even though I am extremely respectful. The cafeteria workers are also very rude and lazy. They are always watching something on their phones and get made when you interrupt?? This university needs some serious improvement.

To describe it in one sentence it is a "It is what you make it" school. Given its smaller size, the experience at the school is very intimate and student body dependent, in every aspect imaginable, which has its pros and cons. A lot of the students I found who complained perpetually, tend to not be great students, or honestly not suitable for college in general. Just in school for the wrong reasons. A lot of those who complained, likely would be ineligible to attend other larger state schools or face similar issues. The biggest benefit of this school is that it is incredible cost effective. Some state schools like Rutgers have become very competitive post covid so they are worth checking out, but second to Princeton, SPU has averaged the lowest debt for its graduates for many years. This is despite being right next to the city. This was the primary reason for my attendance. After 4 years here, and 4 years in Grad school elsewhere, I received a professional doctorate for less than $100,000 and this includes the cost of food/housing.

Love it here from all the choices this place was top of my list and for both of my teens faculty and staff are great very informative and helpful there’s an opportunity to double major and alot academic options I do recommend it here for any parent or adult that want to continue there education small classes and great professors if your teen is into sports there is the top. Note here your treated as an individual a person not a number and safety here is excellent.

I had 4 incredible years at St. Peter’s I considered myself to be very blessed I met so many people my professors who were so helpful and it doesn’t seem like I graduated 19 years ago in May 99 ,as a retired Navy Veteran I was accepted and truly felt very comfortable as a full time day student the staff and administrators made my time so special I was able to become a teacher and today I am able to assist my fellow veterans in reaching their goals. It all started with the first time I step on campus I have great time and memories and I will always say Thanks!

This is the treasure of Jersey City and perhaps even all of the Greater NYC area. The college is very reasonably priced, and the main campus is within a truly dynamic city very close to Manhattan. If you're a student, you will be challenged academically; but you will also learn a great deal and gain so much practical experience. Some of the classes I attended were easily on the "ivy league" level; and were anything but easy; but you will remember what you learned 10 years later. The professors actually care and will give you individual attention if you want or need it. I cannot give this college enough stars. I graduated from here in 1983; and I continue to hear good things about this university.

St Peter's University School of Professional and Continuing Studies has been a great way to complete my degree while being able to multi-task life as a mother and my career. The professors have been great to work with, giving advice on school work and providing additional resources to help me in the long run.

The most abhorred and corrupt educational institution I am aware of, all applicants please choose wisely when pondering where you are headed for higher education. SPU, a university I once thought was a dream school has failed at every turn. From fees, to scheduling issues, and experiences with their staff in general: it’s honestly humanly impossible to be so evil during these tough times. Beware of the salesman attitude they give you during visits.
