The CSN Charleston Campus is a solid choice for students looking for accessible, affordable, and flexible higher education in Las Vegas. The campus is clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, with a wide variety of programs ranging from general education and healthcare to business, technology, and trades.

I have been trying to enroll in DH102 for the last 2 YEARS. They only have 1 professor for the class in the entire CSN and they only accept 20 people per semester and getting in the class is literally impossible at this point. They have been saying they’re gunna make the class first come first serve for the last year and a half. Me and a friend of mine have been trying to take that class for the past 2 years and we just can’t get in even when we sit in front of the computer as the enrollment begins. This is UNACCEPTABLE. How can you guys play with hundreds of peoples futures just because you guys don’t want to add another professor for the class. Hundreds and hundreds of peoples futures are pushed back every semester just because they only have 1 professor. I should have graduated by now and been working with my degree but because of CSN’s very poor management me and hundreds of people are left hanging not knowing if we will get in the class next semester or not. This is not fair I have a 4.0 gpa and still can’t get in. There is not even freshman or senior understanding at CSN. While our futures are dependent on them they just don’t seem to care at all. A 2-4 year simple program ends up taking you 6-8 years this is very unacceptable. How will I know if I’m gunna get in that class next semester or not and if I don’t here again I will be behind another year and it’s not just me hundreds of people like me. Please add more professors and let us achieve our dreams.

A mediocre college that either has far too little or misappropriates its resources. The student experience is abysmal. From rarely being able to get ahold of different departments (ex. financial aid) by phone, to the campus cafeteria in the student union closing at 3 PM when classes run well into the night time, all the way to a genuinely desolate and depressing atmosphere - this place is truly awful for how much money they get from students. Its one redeeming quality is being marginally cheaper than UNLV and UNR, yet it's still more expensive at times than NSU.

The office of Registar there is horrible. I went in person before the stated deadline to submit my identity verification and they still automatically withdrew me from my courses. I’m a pregnant veteran that’s unemployed and utilizing my VA benefits. I needed these classes to be considered a full time student to be able to collect my monthly housing allowance that pays my bills. They couldn’t have been more disappointing and disrespectful with helping me out. I did everything I needed to do on my end and they couldn’t have cared any less. How is that fair? This is how they treat veterans and pregnant women. It’s disgusting.

As a guest student, I was dropped from a class due to past due balance; however, a former colleague also a guest student with no financial aid set up and past due fees at CSN and UNLV was not dropped. I called as I felt this was handled unfairly, and to speak with the manager and I was told, “well it looks like he just got lucky,” and to speak to the instructor and fill out a past deadline form. If you want to be more stressed out with navigating courses, go to CSN for an unprofessional experience. Call center is extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Whoever hires the people here needs to be checked for their competence. People deserve a smooth path to expand their education but yet are led down a discouraging path and are expected to pay for it here at CSN. Please consider Nevada State College for a better use of your money and time, as CSN will delay your education as it did for many individuals, including me.

First school I went to that will drop you quick and will not inform before dropping you from classes if they are not paid on the day you set the payment plan yet financial aid supervisor claim she will not let that happen yet that was not true at all. I would not recommend anyone to go here because they are liars and they say they will help and really saying THEY DO NOT CARE. Asking anyone some help such as the president for the school system and obviously he do not care as well. DO NOT GO HERE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR STUDENTS AT ALL. THEY JUST CARE ABOUT THE MONEY THAT COMES FROM STUDENTS.

Staff and students who work there are extremely rude especially at the testing centers they have an attitude for no reason and will bicker under their breath about you. They also have a sign that says you will be charged if you give any attitude to the employees when the whole time they’re the ones with a horrible personality and attitude especially the girl with blonde hair. maybe the Henderson campus will provide better service.

Sucks. Literally would not recommend going here lolz. I previously went to Santa Monica and had a great experience. 5000 dollars for the professor to tell you to then spend more for a textbook and throw u to the wind. I love learning, instructing me to read a chapter over 20 pages and then quizzing with something as irrelevant as “what percentage of colonists remained loyal to Britain during the Revolutionary war” does not feel like learning to me. I take pages full of notes but i write information i want to remember 10 years later and so on. 5000 dollars!! where is the topic secret information that my degree makes me seem like i know. I can’t believe of all the interesting things to make a history quiz on, I’m still getting HIGH SCHOOL COMPREHENSION LEVEL QUESTIONS. My passion for learning is depleting here. If you move here just please save your money and go to school online, just dont attend this one.
