This review is on the grounds of Bryn Mawr rather than the academics or admissions requirements. Bryn Mawr College has a lovely campus for walking, running, or otherwise quiet, relaxing exploits. There is plenty of shade on this bucolic campus which is located along Philadelphia’s upscale “Main Line.” There is an abundance of gothic architecture on the campus, inspired by the gothic style buildings of Oxford and Cambridge. The campus has a few hilly areas, particularly around the sports fields, but otherwise mainly flat. One of the things I found remarkable about this campus is the flowers and blooming plants are in such beautiful condition (in August!). Unlike other campuses, even renowned gardens in the area, the flowers are not dead - they are gorgeous and obviously well cared for. This little gem is a perfect place to enjoy the peaceful outdoors.
On Sunday May 2, 2021 I explored the scenic campus of Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania. Such a lovely and historic campus. I did not enter any buildings but I took plenty of photos of the exteriors. There are signs everywhere on campus stating no visitors. I moved thru the campus quickly taking pictures before I got caught by security. This historic campus is something to see if you're in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania. Hopefully when you come for a visit the no visitors sign will be down for you.
Bryn Mawr College, founded in 1885, is a prestigious private women's liberal arts college known for its academic rigor and historic commitment to women's education. Located near Philadelphia, it was one of the first U.S. institutions to offer graduate degrees to women and remains a leader in undergraduate research, particularly in STEM fields. The college is part of the Tri-College Consortium with Haverford and Swarthmore, expanding academic opportunities while maintaining its distinctive intellectual tradition. Bryn Mawr's Gothic architecture and scholarly atmosphere reflect its blend of historic prestige and modern academic excellence.
Beautiful campus. I was there with a 10-year old for May Day. I thought there would be more activities for kids/general public. Unless I got there late, the event was ok as an "outsider" but seemed like a really, really great tradition for the students.
It’s a beautiful college campus with students who are strong, welcoming, and compassionate!
One of the most beautiful campuses in the region
Really cool campus, with Castles 😁. …
Very nice and quiet campus.
Bryn Mawr College is an absolutely stunning campus and one of the safest areas of eastern Pennsylvania area. The staff and faculty here are amazing, employees are employed here for a very long term tenure, and quality education is the most important emphasis here.
Excellent school, with a beautiful campus.
