The parking is truly horrendous. They do not have enough parking spaces for the number of students and faculty. This year, they boasted hitting over 12,000 students enrolled, which is over a thousand more than last year, and yet they have not tried to expand their parking on or near campus. Some of their parking lots are gravel lots with wasted space and ill defined parking slots. Students have to pay over $200 to even park on campus, and yet when you can't even find a spot and have to get shuttled in from a few miles away, it is almost a wasted investment. And again, despite the fact that they are growing and have record enrollment, they are not doing anything to accommodate these new students, except rip up preexisting parking areas and put buildings in their place. There are no parking spots left on campus after 930 in the morning, and if you actually want to park near the building you have classes in, you have to get there way before 8.

Amazing small campus university in the best city in Tennessee. I was so excited when my son chose to pursue his higher education path on this campus. We've spent decades visiting the area for weekend trips, and now I have reason to come more often.

Love the updated buildings!!! The old ones still have that charm of being older. Faculty are helpful and most if not all are just down right experts in their fields, so cool!! Pre health program/office has just been blazing a trail of getting their students through college and into med school, keep it up guys!!!

I will be graduating soon from UTC with a bachelor’s engineering degree. I have nothing but positive things to say about this school! Unfortunately, I did not get involved in any extracurricular activities such as the frat life or clubs but I’ve had some great experiences and made some great friends. Beautiful city, good sized campus, lots of things todo, great staff and amazing professors. Every professor I’ve had wants you to succeed and is always there for when you need support. Lastly, I’d like to mention the only downsides I’ve noticed in my past four years… Crime. Crime is a common thing in a city of course so this shouldn’t be a surprise. Occasionally some tomfoolery is going on a certain road, that most students know what road Im talking about. As long as you’re cautious most likely will not have an issues. Not to mention some crazy things that can happen on campus. This is very rare but occasional harassment from the homeless. One time man walking around with a shotgun and they had the entire campus shut down. You know just Chattanooga things. In all seriousness this is a great school. it’s bitter sweet knowing I will be graduating soon. Thank you!

Wonderful location in an excellent city/state. I attended from 1979 - 1982. Met a lot of students that we still share and reminisce the days when we were students. Great academics and a nice campus. Lots to do away from campus without driving far. It was great to see the university decades later. There are changes all over campus vs when i attended. Needless to say it was a great weekend trip.

I just got accepted here and have had a hard time getting all my paperwork and transfer info together but the staff has been absolutely amazing and so helpful throughout it all! Very excited to finally be at a school that seems to care and value their students! Also Linda in the bursars office is amazing and so kind!

Would be nice if the bustling computer science department wasn't mostly research, leaving us to teach ourselves with online classes. At least the food options are decent, most classes are great.

I graduated from UTC back in 2019. The campus, city, and outdoors is why you come to UTC. They are all beautiful. However, once you look on the inside is when you find the bad. I never felt like i had any good professors who truly cared about their students except for two. The administrative side is a nightmare; constantly being transferred to another person or department, often times talking to someone who is annoyed because you called. The college DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, only your money and they will do everything they can to exploit it. The best part on the inside of UTC is the maintenance and food court staff. They know students by name and make sure you are doing okay, unlike professors and advisors. Its a great place to be on the outside until you start going to class or trying to solve an administrative problem.

I am currently a art student at UTC. I really do feel that the professors and the staff in the art department have only their students best interest at heart. They push us to see beyond our main focus, to make us push ourselves harder. …

If I could give this school zero stars, I would. This University is a full on corporation. They do not care about students one bit. All they care about is the money. Most of the teachers really do not want to be there and the staff(bursars, …

It was the prefect school for me because the class sizes were relatively small but the atmosphere of the campus felt like a "big school". I loved going to the Roundhouse and watching my Mocs play the likes of Ohio State,Georgia,Vandy, UTK, …

Spent 6 years at UTC earning my MBA and loved the whole experience. Wholeheartedly recommend it if you're looking for a degree in business.
