I absolutely DO NOT recommend attending. I attended fall 23/24 and I absolutely hated it, so much so that I couldn't stand it and went back home mid semester. None of the offices have been helpful and have left me to figure out tuition and other payments.
This really is a good school. It's really cheap and the acceptance rate is 100%, but I don't feel like that's reflected in it's performance. The environment is really nice, and it doesn't feel like a local community college. The programs and teachers are good, and the Holland library has everything you need. The HPC building has literally everything you could dream of for a gym, and it's free for all full time students. I'd really recommend coming here, as I don't think I've ever met anyone here with student dept. It's seriously a good school.
As a neighbor who welcomes and is tolerant of noise and loud music, I simply do not feel this way about Utah Tech University. This is not about the students, it’s about the university administration’s blatant disregard for how loud they play music and voice announcements at their sports events. It’s INSANE and unnecessary noise levels.
This university seemed very promising. It seemed cheap and local so I decided to give it a try. I had sent them my high school diploma via email as they instructed me to do. I then kept checking the status of my application over the next couple of weeks to find that it still required my high school transcript. I then gave them a call and was helped by their amazing "one-stop" team. They said that they DID receive my transcript but for some reason it was never processed. One-stop then helped me sign up for my summer courses and then helped me make an appointment with a financial advisor and my course advisor to help me with the rest. We had scheduled meeting to which NEITHER the financial advisor or course advisor showed up to. When I tried to get ahold of both of them they were "unavailable". Clearly this school has no clue what they are doing and I advise you to not apply here.
Trying to be flashy when it's not. School doesn't have good schedules. Parking is terrible and they keep making it worse. They say they're doing things to save students money, when in fact the tuition has gone up every single semester via mandatory fees. Not impressed.
I did a semester of college at Utah tech university from 2023/2024 and was not impressed. I went to the math tutoring center and some other resources that the school offered as I struggle with math and did not get much help. I ended up passing all my classes except math because I didn’t have the help I needed. I will say that they did not put the F on my academic transcript and they just put it as an incomplete,I am very thankful for that!
This school is garbage. They'd rather spend millions of dollars on fancy conference chairs and changing their name from Dixie to Utah than hiring professors capable of teaching the material required for a degree. I was a Computer Engineer major for two years before my income allowed me to move out of the house. I swiftly moved to Logan, UT where I now enjoy an education actually worth thousands of dollars. DSU seems to change their policies as often as a woman on her period changes her mood. Either that or they just "forget" to mention it. Half the people that go here have their butt hanging out of their "shorts", but all the out spoken ones think they're better than you. This could be a great school if they knew how to spend my tuition payments well. In one conference room they had $17,500 in office chairs alone. The room was built for ~20 people. Then the electronics lab get's $300 oscilloscopes that are sometimes broken. I could go on and on, but just know that from 2022-2024 their priorities were all out of wack.
Utah Tech University is a fantastic place to cultivate valuable knowledge and skills in a beautiful, sunny environment. I love all the buildings, new and old, and am impressed by this institution's continuous growth and improvement. In particular, I can personally attest to the high quality of UT's computer science and IT programs.
Utah Tech. I'm a mature woman, but when I go on their campus, I feel young. The students are very polite and respectful. It puts your faith back in the rising generation. The campus is somewhat small, so if you're nervous about going to a university, this one is perfect! They have a nice little campus bookstore. I am an artist. I teach art there. The bookstore has a surprising selection of art supplies, and the prices are reasonable. While you're there, grab a hat or t-shirt. Go Trailblazers!
Great campus for so many events and learning.
