I think Bridgewater is a beautiful campus. I am attending in the fall and I cannot wait. It's surrounded by mountains and trees. There is a large mall, or field in the middle of campus. The town of Harrisonburg is about an eight to ten minute drive from Bridgewater and is loaded with stores and restaurants (target, super Walmart, pizzerias). There is a shuttle that takes students to and from different areas. I'm glad to be going here in such a beautiful, welcoming community.
I visited the campus for the first time in twenty years and a few changes I saw but overall it looks the same so it was gratifying to see my alma mater again. I went to Bridgewater myself and I enjoyed my time there in the mid 1990s.
Bridgewater is a small, slower paced peaceful place with lots of green natural beauty.
Don't bother coming here if you have a disability or need any kind of accommodation, they discriminate against psychological disabilities and deny students that legitimately need help without telling them reason
Great place to send your child to get a college degree. Small campus, big community, and quiet environment for the best learning.
Campus Tour! Small campus. Those we encountered were friendly. Our student guide was good. He was knowledgeable and listened and answered our questions thoroughly. Like the campus size! Small enough for students to walk to all their classrooms. Class size average 18 to 1. Gymnasium was about the size of an high school gym. Which was good fir me in the sense that the school isn't concentrated on sports versus education. My son stated he could wake up half asleep and still make it to class lol. Dorms average like most colleges. There is no out of state tuition cost and they offer scholarships and grants to over 99 % of students.
The college has undergone come major changes lately, not always good. The food is really lacking in taste, nutritional value & variety. The education is good, but as with all colleges right now programs are tight on funding and makes classes limited.
Fabulous. Nice indoor event for children. Excellent Halloween experience with various school groups and organizations giving candy and treats. Great school. Great event. Wonderful students.
Lauren Anderson’s review of the college is skewed. Her review is entirely fabricated. Bridgewater is a Christian college, she knew this when she agreed to attend. If she wanted to attend a party school their are several others she could have chosen. The college is a wonderful institution not for the weak of heart, it requires you to do the work and be an adult.
Bridgewater is quite literally the worst college in the state of Virginia. Their priorities are very VERY backwards. They try to put out that the students are their priority by saying they’re the safest college in Virginia, but take it from someone who lives in the area & attended the college for several years, all they care about is the money. The professors are awful, they are hardly experts in their field & while there is next to no parking for students, they decided to build a fancy new library that was, by no means, needed. The tuition continues to increase year after year because the school is misusing their funds. I could go on & on about how awful this college is, quite honestly. Don’t go there, don’t tell your family & friends to go there. It’s a waste of money & time.
