I attended under graduate (last 2 years) and completed my MBA in December of 1981. At that time, VCU and UVA were the only universities in Virginia, with fully accredited MBA programs. VCU ignited my desires to learn through hard work, study and involvement with others in group research and presentations. I Loved the Business school and the people. There was synergy and support that brought me to a higher level of accomplishment and appreciation.
VCU is a big university thiers no difference between the town and the college, but you can tell distinctly where you are which is very good. If you like big places that are very city, I would recommend coming here, they have plenty of good restaurants. But I would say since it is the city watch out for panhandling and for right now there is a lot of construction going on, to replace old places (please check the date on the post don't wanna be irrelevant) but other than that it's pretty good. There are even maps to help you get around and again really good food like hidden gems out here. But I would recommend coming with a group, or a tour guide. When out here it's best not to go places alone because it's very easy to get lost or turned around.
Would never send my kids to a university that does not honor the 1st amendment to their students. It's disgusting how they would even not give a student their degree and diploma due to the board not being happy with that student.
It’s a very big and beautiful school. We joined a campus tour today and enjoyed our time on the neat and beautiful campus. Loved it!
Constant violators of the First Amendment. No free speech on campus unless viewpoint supported by administration. Don't waste your money on this middling education.
WITH A 93% ACCEPTANCE RATE I UNDERSTAND THE LEVEL STUPIDITY THAT EXISTS IN VCU'S STUDENT BODY. OPEN DISCOURSE SHOULD ALWAYS BE ALLOWED. WHAT I SAW IN THAT VIDEO WAS ABSOLUTELY VILE. DO BETTER.
Dorm rooms are nice. Area seems nice. Attended a graduation ceremony. Liked the auditorium.
I mostly go to the library, they have a Starbucks and The Workshop (Google it). But overall, VCU is an excellent university with an academic campus and a medical campus, a diverse student body and nearly any curriculum to meet your educational needs.
Always an amazing experience and something to look at.Because you always miss it some little detail just wondering 🤔 on campus …
Nice public university in STEM career
