Big Bend prepared me for a successful life both in aviation and my business career. I am forever grateful for an outstanding time in my first two years of higher education. My best friend, Harry, and I met as we joined the BBCC flight school in 1967. I am pictured with Pat Epps our first boss in aviation. (My friend’s uncle). Lindbergh’s autograph to my father. Harry and I with Pat Epps (second generation aviator). Harry and I in front of Wright Flyer at Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina. Pictures of my grandfather’s flying machine with him in cockpit in 1913, my father flying the Boeing Supersonic aircraft simulator, Harry and I standing next to the beloved J-3 Cub in which we have many hours. My step dad next to the Corsair he flew after WW II. Harry and I in front of his grandfather’s 1911 flying machine. Yep…we had a good life in aviation thanks to BIG BEND!

They want you to go to college but yet they dont reply back. Its a joke. They made it so i dont want to go. I would try a different college that's for sure. This one is a joke. Im not gonna go due to them thank you.

Having gone through a full two year pipe welding degree at Big Bend Community College, I have realized that the only reason to recommend anyone for the program would be for the instructor. I have seen first hand that the school fights the instructor and students to get any progress done with student clubs. The school does not help benefit any part of the welding program. It is painful to admit that I had high expectations for the school when I started but after my experience I would only recommend the education from the welding instructor and not the college as a whole. Not to mention the technology that the school has. If you want to gain experience in more modern welding processes then I would suggest a completely different school. The program takes place in a very run down shop that was not built to be a welding shop and is a safety hazard for the students because of the lack of space and utilities.

Big Bend is a great college, with amazing instructors. I have absolutely loved my time here. The negative comments on here are usually about one instructor. Dont let those comments sway your opinion. Ive had many instructors, and 90% of them care about the students more than I ever thought a teacher would. I'm glad I chose to attend Big Bend.

My instructer at AMT are awesome. My collegue are amazing BUT business office and dorm management sucks. They will not notify you and charge you a whole bunch of late fee for full time time student who is currently attending this college. Dont ever order any mail on 7502 chanute st. Its horrible. They lost my very expensive headset for aviation /pilot training. Dont try getting mail here

Attended my nephews (Dierks Chavez) baseball game today. Drove through the college parking lot seems like a nice school maybe could use some upgrades but other that that well maintenance. The fields could use some underground sprinklers, i would say, the bleachers could use some covering and padding, scoreboard could've worked, and last but not least, concession couldn't been open, especially for a double header. Other than that, both teams played great today. If there was one thing, i could tell them it would be to keep your head up. Even the pros don't have perfect games were all human, it's ok. As long as we are learning from our mistakes, you're doing something right. God, job, guys loved watching you play. Shout out to the spuds #23, the 2nd base man (Romen, i believe) way to turn 2 in that first game. Keep it up, buddy. You're awesome! It's all about having fun, never forget that!

Book store buys back used books at Pennies on the dollar and resells then at almost new cost. They rehire flight instructors based on personality, not qualifications. Go somewhere else

The enrollment process was a night mare from the beginning. There was a serious lack of help and assistance. Getting in contact with your advisor is seriously difficult. Oh and not to mention I was taking classes for a certificate for three semesters I wouldn't have been able to use because the training part wasn't available.
