F.I.R.S.T. Institute

I am a pregnant mom attending FIRST Institute night class with Israel & Jessa as my instructors and I can say it brings so much joy to be apart of their class. They are so patient and understanding and break everything down so fast and efficiently. I was so nervous of attending school pregnant but they make this so much easier and manageable. I highly recommend to join FIRST Institute Recording Arts they have great teachers to support your situation no matter what.

The best time we had was when we were able to talk to Frank who took us on a awesome virtual tour. My son and I came from North Carolina to look into two different schools. When we had to make a final decision it was actually easy to decide. Both schools offer pretty much the same courses and both schools have alumnas who are doing great after graduating from their field of study. F.I.R.S.T. Institute overall tuition cost was much cheaper and the timing to complete the entire program fits well with how my son plans to achieve his educational goals. It's amazing to have found out about F.I.R.S.T. Institute because to know that I can self pay my son's tuition is a dream come true. I would recommend to anyone to look into this school, it's not only about the cost it is about how you will receive top- notch hands on training like any other audio school with people who actually work in the field. It's important to know that the class sizes are small which is important. I do not want my son to feel list in a big classroom. I repeat, I am glad that I found F.I.R.S.T. Institute in Maitland, Florida which is very close to Orlando, Fl 😊

This place became a haven for what I thought were tarnished dreams. I became a self-taught freelancer in Graphic Design and Website development years ago and had reached a ceiling in my career. I had no formal education and my first attempt at higher education cost me more than I gained. Until Kathryn from FIRST gave me a tour. I was sold... Not too long after a few seamlessly simple phone calls to comb out my enrollment, came the first day of the rest of my life. FIRST Institute introduced me to a world where everyday people live their dreams and perform in their passions. The faculty and Staff are really invested in their careers yet they still find time in their busy professional schedules to create a safe, kind, thoughtful, and progressive place for technical learning. Class sizes are intimate and active, making individualized attention easy and group learning can be most effective. It’s a magical place. In 11 months, I had a head start and unlimited resources on the career that I thought had left me behind. And even as a graduate, FIRST Institute still makes me a priority, assisting in my post graduation career placement and financial planning. If you’re interested in an affordable education where you can really gain proficiency in the entertainment media industry... THIS IS A SAFE BET!! It’s a great experience and very hands on. You get to really be in a real world setting from time to time. Classes are small so there is better interaction with the instructors. They are available even on days when there is no school just in case you are having trouble with any project. 10 out of 10

Honestly coming in with next to no knowledge minus high school ap music theory and high school concert band I have learned so much from here. With the instructors really caring about their jobs and taking time to teach you about the real world. They truly care about all the students and want them to succeed even taking time out from before class to help you fully understand what’s going on. I came in knowing nothing and came out top of my class in the honors program. I owe this school and the instructors and the program directors everything for all the have taught me. Shout out to Genoveva Valle, the program director, and my instructors who really saw me blossom into the audio engineer that I am today. I could go on more about how awesome this school is but it would be a novel.

Overall not a bad program, just a heads up when they say it’s a sped up program they mean it so you gotta stay on top of game. My only complaint was, feel like there needed to be more time spent in actual music production. Instructors were great especially Daniel Dyko he was the best one I had. Very informative and actual showed passion towards music.

I had a great experience at F.I.R.S.T. I was in the recording arts program. Lost of great instructors and met some great people along the way. I would definitely recommend this school over full sail. You get a lot of hands on work and no time is waisted. The curriculum isn’t easy but it’s not to difficult. The instructors help you out a lot and make sure you obtain all of the information. I am very confident in my knowledge and skills in engineering and I also even learned a lot about cameras. 10/10 experience.

I enjoyed my experience at F.I.R.S.T. the instructors were knowledgeable and the facility was cool. The career service team especially Liz are great. They will make sure you are prepared properly for job opportunities and they don't give up you even after it has been years that you've gone to the school. The reason I didn't give five stars is because I feel as though certain lessons should have been extended and others could've have been reduced based on what I came to learn. The instructors Eric, Heitor, and Joe were definitely good at what they teach. I'm grateful for the skills I've built attending this institution.
