The advisory services are awful, the student body is not an inclusive group, there’s no school spirit or camaraderie, no sports, not enough on-campus housing, and apathetic professors disinterested in leading with purpose or making meaningful student connections. Our son has had a terrible time getting through this University as a transfer student, I recommend you send your son or daughter anywhere else in Texas, there are simply too many good schools to choose from in TX to put up with the regular annoyances of being a student at this school. This is not a welcoming or accommodating school for native Texans, which is really disappointing. Their sole focus is on the international student body. The campus is nice, the people who run it are awful.

Lack of university feeling. Most are only here due to the low cost due to commuting and scholarships. However, they charge a higher tuition than UT Austin, which should not be the case.

An higher education on the move to be a top tier learning and research institutions in the world. Practical campus, modern student housing and very functional school grounds. Very caring staff assisting enthusiastic and ambitious faculty and research members. Students from all over the world comes here to equip themselves to be future leaders of the world.

Absolutely parasitic Uni that I wouldn't recommend to anyone financially struggling. If you even try to go back to school, they refuse to release any transcripts until total balance is paid. This further prevents those that are impoverished to be able to champion their own ability to continue school. I am thankful I never have to deal with this school. But please... Treat this elementary school as a last resort option because they will essentially gouge you. I'm sure the board will love to hear this.

If I could leave zero stars I would. You can't get a live person on the phone besides the call clerks who know nothing. Everything is done through emails. Bursar office is a bunch on non-existent people. Advisors give you wrong information and to schedule a meeting with them you wait 2 months. Way overpriced. Uncaring people in each and every department. If you're considering this school, don't. Go somewhere else.

Worst school and worst professors, who are actively trying to make money out of the students. Professors team up to retaliate against students at a drop of a hat! If you complaint about their corrupt practices the Professors will retaliate against you and have the audacity to kick you out! I heard a lot of bad stories but I tried to ignore them, until it happened to me. AVOID THIS SCHOOL AT ANY COST IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GO THROUGH THE SAME EXPERIENCE!!!

Most unhelpful advising and if you try to request an appointment with someone else they will refuse to help. My advisor has had attitude with me several times over reasonable questions. Deans of varying departments will get nasty with you for no reason and without provocation. Guess that explains the quality of advising. Also hires teachers based on their experience and not their quality of teaching... Take as many classes at Collin College is my advice. Their level of care for students knocks this place clean out of the water.

Today, I attended an event, and parking was quite a challenge. I ended up parking across from the alumni center, but it was difficult to see because it was very dark. Suddenly, a South Asian man approached me with an aggressive demeanor, yelling, "Do you understand English? Can you read English? This is my parking spot! Get out!" I politely told him to calm down and I will get out then, I got out and I noticed that it was a professor since he was holding a rolling backpack and dressed on professional attire It sure was my mistake parking in the wrong place, however I find it unnapropiate that a faculty member has such an inappropriate behavior in campus. UTD fix yoour parking problem.

If you want to have memories from college other than sitting alone in a 300 lecture hall, UTD is not for you. On top of that, it has the highest tuition rate for public colleges, but continues to be greedy by getting rid of the low tier parkings and hiring international students to play parking police. UTD does not invest in anything for local students or anyone other than IT majors. Most importantly, the Dean and the University have brutally repressed freedom of speech on campus to satisfy their donors. If you care about your hard earned money, the constitution, or just want a fun college experience, it's better to go to your local community college. You will get the same quality of education for 2 years, but at a 90% cheaper rate.

Terrible place to send a student, their advising is some of the worst I've ever seen. AVOID at all costs. Their staff very clearly does not care about the students or the quality of the education. Do not spend your money here, there are better choices out there, especially for what they charge. Please avoid.
